Thought I’d throw this up on here. My friend Dan is selling his 1998 Grand Prix GTP. He is the second owner and bought the car from an older gentleman who bought it new. I believe it now has 92,XXX on the clock. I’ve ridden in this car plenty of times and know it fairly well. Under the hood is a 3.8L V6 with a supercharger on top and a 4AT.
Options from the factory:
-Charcoal Gray leather interior, perfect condition
-Heated seats
-Power locks, windows, seats, keyless entry, etc…
-Foglights/Automatic Headlight System
-Sunroof
-Dual Air Bags
-ABS
-Cruise Control
-Heat/AC (obviously) that functions perfectly
-Trip Monitor/Computer, and Instant/Average MPG calculation
-Performance Shift button
everything on the car works like new.
Things he’s done to it:
-new exhaust system and various front suspension pieces. (OEM)
-K&N Cold Air Intake with heat shield. the fuel economy calculator shows up to 29-30 MPG on the highway after being installed.
-GTP badge accents on each front door that really match with the brilliant red paint.
-red PONTIAC sticker inserts underneath the rear license plate. (see pictures)
The only bad thing I can think of is one small spot of rust on the rear right wheel-well that has been touched up with red paint. The rust is about the size of a postage stamp and has not spread any farther. The rest of the paint on the entire car is flawless.
:fyi: I’ve known Dan for about 2 years and he’s had the car garaged for as long as I can remember. The car has had regular maintenance and oil changes every 3,000 miles and enjoys 93 octane. IMHO the car is literally spotless. No interior to clean, no parts to replace, and nothing to worry about. Just get in and enjoy luxury and performance. The car has never left him stranded and is very strong on both the street and the highway.
on a side note, he’s selling the car to finance a new DD (probably a Focus) and a GSX-R 600 for the summer. if anyone’s got a line on a nice gixxer for roughly 4K lemme know.
does not have heads up display, (i think) it wasn’t available that year. does come with driver control center though. Traction button, vehicle information, and fuel economy, etc.
i’d say quite firm. because of the excellent condition of the car, he’s not going to want to drop much lower. if you’re interested PM me and i can have him give you a call.
These cars run strong, throw a about $1000 and you got yourself a nice little sleeper. Put a little bit more and you got yourself a beast. Its only got 1 heated seat though which is kinda gay. This is deff a good buy.
yeah agreed. not having a heated passenger seat sucks, but if you buy the car, you’ll be the one driving, so it doesn’t really matter. not that i’m the authority or anything, but during various youtube visits, i’ve seen these running anywhere from low 14s (stock) all the way down to the 9s. makes for an amazing year round DD or a nice weekend track car.
lol woody i’ll be selling in about a month, maybe two, unless i find a great car sooner. looking to be around $3350 and have less than 60K miles. interested?
EDIT: straight up trade for your LS1 will be considered.
