Mike, appreciate the answer, but… If they want “help” (which was offered in the email) then they actually need to respond to one. In the past year, not a single email has ever beeen responded to. Ever. I understand they’re busy, but either they want support or they don’t. So, being slow to respond is one thing. Absolutely ignoring people is another. Bottom line is that there is apparently no way whatsoever to actually talk to these folks even if it’s to offer help. That’s no way to succeed. I have been to FLDs and have seen some trailers, and have also listened to people walking around talking about how it isn’t right. Rules are rules. Anyway, seems like a moot point. Seems VERY unlikely that logistically they’ll be able to use PID this summer to me. They’d need to not only resurface the strip, but also do some major improvements to access and parking area. If it hasn’t already been scheduled, that would be a real tough deadline for all that. Then I’m guessing they also need to get with local municipalities, and with the home construction that’s happened there over the last decade they’d need to get approval for the noise/traffic. Not likely gonna happen by this summer if they haven’t already started - which from the sounds of things they have not. It’s too bad - I’ve spoken to a number of people who never went to a FLD event but would definitely have shown up at PID. But they sure won’t be going to Ohio.
