for us that went to flash light drags

that would be nice!

can’t wait to be overcharged and get minimal runs

i meant it would be nice to have the guys who run the FLD doing this there.

They ever gonna do racing at the stadiums again??

It better be cheaper than a T n T. Otherwise…what’s the use?

I agree that it’d be nice with the FLD guys running it.

with the flashlight guys running it you can get 10 to 15 races … withe the homos from prp maybe 5 …

yeah but you get no slips and for me its all about the slip i get to see how well my car is doing for what i got done.

Plus they wont prep the track so no traction… 60’s are the funnest part of racing.

And then what if someone blows up and oils the track? They gonna have PRP’s crew out there? Doubt it

Ok so don’t show up to the FLD events, problem solved.

I’m just saying you dont get a slip so the advantage of 10-15 runs at FLD compared to 4-5 at PRP tnt doesnt mean much. I wouldnt consider it an advantage at that point

Sure its fun tho

The FLD’s are supposed to be “Street racing without the jail time”. The only “slip” I ever got street racing was one that said I owed the magistrate $210. There’s nothing like seeing a tired looking, primer SE-R blowing the doors off a shiny new vette or some similar race where no one knows who’s faster. Throw times into the mix and the suspense will be gone.

If you want to test and tune there are plenty of days for that.

Same thing can be said at test and tunes… you dont know what the other car is running either until you race him and find out. Or if you’ve seen the car run before then you maybe have an idea but other than that, you get lined up randomly with all kinds of cars.
I dont think any of the cars i’ve raced would have guessed my car would go mid high 10’s. There were days i wouldnt have guessed the guy next to me would run as good as he/she did too. Either way i still think both can be fun its just nice to have a slip showing how the car ran thats all

I do see the purpose of FLDs… except alot of street racing is roll racing and i guess they dont do that there?

the fun part of the flds is trying to make ur car hook on plain old asphalt… and no one knows how fast your car really is. i wish they would have no time runs at prp and no track prep that would b fun

they have that it is called a typical race day. chances are good that the lights won’t be working. and there will be oil on the track somewhere to lessen the traction for your liking

ha ha thats a good one

they have that it is called a typical race day

haha i was just gonna say that  but some days on brand new race rubber i’ve hooked damn well

BTW The PRP Event called the “stoplight drags” are NOT sponsored by the folks who run the “Flashlight Drags”.

The 2009 Flashlight Drags schedule will be released at the “World of Wheels” show.

There is more about the airport racing ban in today’s Observer Reporter: http://www.observer-reporter.com/OR/Story/02-05-commish

The new website is up and has the schedule so far, the explanation about the airports and a link to the letter from the PA Bureau of Aviation.
