Ford engines>GM engines

I’m over teh Flows. They do produce the classic Mustang sound though

I have 5 wires and 3 vacumn hoses on my truck. If it isn’t running right, i adjust the choke or tining with a wrench or screwdriver. computers are for looking at porn and typing on Pittspeed, they have no use being in a car.

Chambered exhaust on a small block Ford sounds the best…nothing like a healthy, cammed, high compression SBF running through catless chambered exhaust.

the only thing that is better is a big block. The low rumble of a big block is hard to beat.

I can normally see eye to eye with you on the comments you make, and although on some I don’t agree I still respect your opinion.

However after that post right there ^, I have to say your a fucking idiot. That is such an ignorant comment it makes me sick, the advancements in efi are so great, they leave those silly carb’s looking like dinosaurs. Im sorry but technology has helped the automotive industry out so much that you would be stupid to still mess with a carb when fuel injection can out perform it all day in all weather enviroments. No getting out and adjusting the choke because its cold, no rejetting because you want/need more power you get in it hit the key, plug it into a laptop and go from there.

x2 good post

that was in response to the ability to fix a car easily.

computers definately helped out in the drivability of a car in different climates but they also made it “different” to work on. It is harder for me because I grew up messing with carbed cars, had I grown up with tuning a car with a laptop it would be a little different. I think tuning a carb is a whole lot easier than figuring out/replacing 500 sensors to get a car running right. My sho would just quit running out of the blue and it was either the mass air sensor, cam sensor, crank sensor, knock sensor, coil pack, … it’s fucking rediculous. When my truck quits, it’s either a vacumn line came off or the carb is set wrong.

and setting the choke in a carbed car is as easy as pressing the gas pedal to the floor once.

I guess i may have been the only one who caught onto that?

It’s a lot harder to work on cars that have sensors for everything including knowing when your fat ass friend gets in the passenger seat.

people tell me they don’t make cars like they used to
my response
thank god lol

people on the site are

The fastest modular powered ford is faster in the quarter than the fastest lsx last time I checked, which was a few months ago. If things have changed please inform me.

However ford screwed up on the modular engines. The four valve heads and overhead cam designs work great. The 4.6 heads flow huge number for what they are. Where ford dropped the ball was on the bore size. They needed a 4 inch bore or better yet a 4.125 bore. The small bore and long stroke seriously limited the modular engine.

The good news is that ford is developing a larger bore engine that will take care of that problem

I don’t know why people get so hung up on the sound of a 5.0. The more time I spend around real race cars the less I can stand the sound of any loud street engine. If you want to hear what a real engine sounds like listen to a 410 sprint car or a pro stock car.
