Yeah but the LS1 is garbage…stock, hence why it makes so much power with basic boltons…great for the ‘car guy’ mindset but in the grand scheme of things it’s a piece of shit motor that when you apply a bit of logical thinking/technology/engineering becomes a great motor.
all that comes down to is that it is choked to shit to meat emmisions laws that our fine government put uppon us

look at the euro spec lsx serees of motors a lot nastier than they are here in the states ,shit just uncorkin a lsx will give ya a lot more power then when ya force induct them ya gota potent little power plant without a lot of internal mods the lsx is good for almost 150,000 miles of pure ass beatin power if ya drove a import that hard they would all be blowin smoke lookin like all of arod,s crew,s car,s but on another subject…

No one is doubting that they cannot make them with more power but using the emissions as a crutch is bullshit.
My buddies 3/S went 10.5 @ 13X with 150K miles on the stock block/stock tranny/etc… Maybe the dyno and multiple timeslips are wrong?
And Stallmer’s(Globe1280) completely bone stock 1.8L with 150k+ miles with a turbo kit slapped on that made 496whp and is still running strong, multiple passes at the track, 11.0 at 129mph…i don’t see it blowin smoke :nuts
Meanwhile the almighty LS1 on the forum had a blown motor with only a few mods like a hurst shifter. :lol
