LSx Motors vs. ALL

:ahh

internetz iz serios biznis

are you forgetting that I had a T72 on 15-17psi daily on a bone stock 3.8 motor for 2 years without a problem other then a fucked tranny?

Yea, but that car made dick for power.

uh what? that car made 305rwhp and 350rwtq on morgans dyno on 10psi with a slipping tranny and no tune on a shitty master power T70 by 4000rpms because my MAF was maxing and cutting my fuel injectors in half…

on 17psi, on the turbonectics T72…on a dyno tune and good tranny, that car would have easily put down 400rwhp by 6k.

how is that? because he didnt have 2 like that dsm of yours needs to move :stfu car was quick for a homebuilt kit wit problems ,oh yeah not a import so ya automatically knock it

It’s pretty obvious that the car was sprayed before. You don’t just develop holes in pistons.

For what it’s worth, my car has gotten a daily ass-reaming and it doesn’t smoke in the least bit. 106k miles on the clock, still going strong. Compression is strong and consistant all across the cylinders as well.

on what dyno… numbers are all relative. just fucking run it and have fun.

17PSI on that displacement and your traps suck. Sorry man, just being honest. You can hype it up all you want by using the “homemade” or “need-a-tune” or “tranny” though.

  1. 2 like what? I can’t understand your post.
  2. My car is not a DSM.
  3. Again, 17PSI and his traps is not impressive. Period.
  4. Don’t give me that import shit. I been eyeing a C5/C6 for a while. But, I do have a preference.

But it didn’t. So your argument is thrown out the window.

I love my LS1. For a pushrod engine it makes great power. OHV design actually makes it more compact and lightweight compared to a V8 with DOHC. The aftermarket is near endless and they are very strong engines from the factory considering they are designed as N/A with cast pistons and aluminum blocks. Factory FI engines are designed to take alot more heat, cylinder pressure, and general abuse. They have to get out of the warranty period before some asshole blows it up and wants a free engine. I understand the LS1s down falls but it is by no means a “bad” engine. Sometimes vehicles with 300+ hp are corked up for a reason. Driveabillity, Noise, Emissions, Safety, Warranty, there is alot an auto manufacturer has to think about. If cars didnt have corked up power in them than they wouldnt be any fun to mod

I agree completely. And I hate domestics. The LSx motors are great. I also think if GM went to a DOHC setup with the heads and engineered them well, the motors would be MUCH more efficient than they already are.

gm has them there the northstar motors good motors very light just not popular for some reason

If there was more aftermarket for the Northstar engines than I would sell my LS1 and build a sick DOHC V8 with twin turbos. To make it better I think I will machine two K20 heads to bolt on a 6 liter LSX and just rule the world. :banana

:eek

Well atleast you’d have some of the greatest flowing heads.

I’m talking SCORCHED EARTH MOTHER FUCKER!!!

I only ran my car on 10psi with the T70…With the slipping tranny…

Never ran at the track with the T72…106 doesnt SUCK for a 10psi, bone stock motor, master power t72, street tires…they trap like 87mph stock.

thrown out the window? really?

heres the kid that Bought my turbo setup I built…but with a GT40 turbo on 8psi

326hp 404tq on the garrett gt4082 engine bone stock.

So why would have 400rwhp been so hard to achieve on 17psi, with a T72, if he made 326rwhp on 8psi with my kit?

Oh cool, a different setup. Not yours. Yes, thrown out the window. Thanks for playing!
