Ford vs Chevy title bout.

ummm try again. Diesel powered trucks are far more reliable and on average have a lower cost of ownership then a gas powered vehicle. I work on them for a living and know plenty of guys that actually do work their trucks hard. Those that do real towing etc all own diesel for a reason. You can’t beat the usable torque output. Their peak numbers don’t mean much, the only gas engine I’ve seen that you can actually get good work out of is a 6.0 chevy. Also the arguement that the tundra is the king of “heavy duty” gas trucks is idiotic. Of course your over built 1/2 ton toyota out does a 1500 chevy. It’s built to, but it doesn’t come close to a 3/4 or 1 ton domestic. It’s a middle of the road truck between the 1/2 and 3/4 ton, but costs almost as much as a nicely option 3/4 ton. Also on the topic of dodge not being in the contest that is also idiotic. Does anybody else here know the maximum GVW of a trailer for a non Class A CDL driver is 10,000 pounds. So buying a dually 1 ton, because the tow capacity is greater then that without the license to use it is just silly. Good luck to those that tow out of class, cause I’ve seen the kind of fines DOT and the staties issue for it.
