Very true. Thanks.
Located in Scarborough. Midland and Sheppard area.
Not even worth the gas to get there…
Bump it up to a 24 of labatt genuine honey and consideration will be made.
what about a molson 12 pack coupon valid for any molson product at the beer store and maybe food if we have a bbq tonight??
make sure you buy the adaptor for the cd deck wires (I got mine from BB for 15 bucks…). Everything else is a piece of cake then…If no body shows up, send me a PM…
I got the wiring harness and the pocket last night.
Took apart the dash last night just to take a look and maybe try to figure it out but didn’t have too much time as it was getting dark.
I’ll try again tonight.
Thanks.
If you have the harness it should be very simple.
All you have to do is bring the harness and the deck to a table, sit down a connect all the wires with the same colors together. Then you can just plug it directly into the car’s harness.
Update:
got the unit to power up but no sound out of the speakers.
didn’t have enough time today. too busy.
but check out what I found…
gonna try this tomorrow.
i followed that for my install as well. forgot all about it heh.
anybody know where the “amp turn on” wire (blue+white) should be hooked up to??
There’s no more wires off the headunit that can connect to it other than the dimmer wire which I doubt would be the correct one.
I’ve seen some stereo harnesses that have only ONE blue+white wire…
In most cases they have 2… “may be different colour strips”
but one is for the Power Antenna “if you have one” and other is the remote wire for the amp.
I have a JVC deck… it actually has 2 wires… “antenna & amp remote” my old kenwood deck only had 1 “which was listed as Power Antenna” but it can also be used as a remote wire for the amp.
umm… you live in midland and sheppard…
go to my friend’s audio shop… on kennedy, before lawrence…
Oxford Audio Sound. accross from the Brick and beside Preformance Improvements… he might be able to do it for you for cheaps
the new headunit is a JVC as well.
Off the headunit, the blue+white is the antennae.
i’ll try connecting the amp turn on wire to the power antennae wire.
but if i do that, won’t I lose the power antennae?
Anyway’s i’ll try again.
Splice both wires “antenna + amp remote” to the Blue Wire with White Strip.
my S13 does not have a power antenna so it doesnt matter for me…

Yup. That’s what I ended up doing and it worked.
I was going to try that at first but I didn’t want to short anything out.
But finally said f@3k it and just did it.
Yeah “fuck it” works wonders sometimes.
Thanks to everyone.
