okay so heatw (ted) and i got into a debate here lol
First of all I want to shave off the rear turn signal crap cause i think its gay and we in north America get it and i dont like it.
To me the front is orangeish ‘amber’, but the rear is red (except if light is shone through it then it gathers orangish characteristic).
Ted says that the front and rear are absolutely EXACTLY the same even if held side by side. You tell me… he says i’m color f’en blind, and talks about him being fine art student, and well i tell im a media grad (and for digital u have to go through traditional, color theory and all the other gay shit).
I can see a difference in color on my car that the rear look more redish than the front.
In fact, if i take it to photoshop, the values are in the red while the front is in the yellow/orangish.
the north american version has them the way they are, in europe and japan and everywhere elsewhere they are not there (well the rear anyways, front are just dif, especially in europe).
He says they are EXACTLY the same thing, I say they are not because clearly they look different in apperance, the rear is darkish red compared to the front, hence no matter what it’s not the same the rear is darker.
now he’s telling me i dont understand how light works and that i dont understand physics. Now this is being BS. Suddenly I don’t know are we going to talk about the reflection and refraction properties of the damn plastic?
I said if its due to angle, in the way the light is being shone through it, then how come the front never frickin appears red to me? If it’s just an illusion?
So I’m less, of an artist tand have no clue in science. So if it’s illusion how come I never see the front red? Whatever angle I’m from if I park my car the rear is red if not ‘redder’.
Second, if I take photographs as many as I want and measure the color values I get red values digitally. I’m not f’en color blind and i know color theory (again has nothing to do with understanding or percieving what is in).
Doesn’t matter what format you want me to calculate the values in RGB (for screen) or CMYK (for print)… its f’en red or at least ‘redder’.
Shave the rears leave the fronts orange. My widebody didnt have the holes for the ghey sidemarkers in the rear and i left it that way. Looks a tonne better…I matched the orange sidemarkers with orange signals in my clear signal lights. Looks clean and simple…other than the fact the cars flat black but thats all changing very soon. And yes they DO mount a bit diffrently…as for size their are more than likley exactly the same size. Im sure Ted misunderstood you or vice versa…Hes pretty accurate and knows his stuff…
