FS: 1952 Gibson Les Paul $30,000

Serious Inquiries Only Please!!!
I’m not sure if we have any guitar enthusiasts here on the forum, but I figured I’d give this a shot. This Les Paul was my grandfather’s before being passed down to me. It’s an all original 1952 Les Paul, no serial number is on it. This is a very rare guitar and the first year the legendary Les Paul’s were ever made. It’s in very good condition but clearly not showroom condition. I don’t play guitar as often as I used to and really would like to see this go to someone who could appreciate it more. It’s been appraised by the House of Guitars in Rochester, NY at $30,000 and that’s what I will sell it for. The price is firm, I’m in no hurry to sell it. Please PM me for any questions, I’ll do my best to answer them. Thank you!

God damn.

Not too sure anyone here would ever buy that. But ebay might be a good start. :gotme:

GLWTS. Nice piece of history right there.

LOL yeah I know it’s a stretch. But I’m not in any hurry, so it’s not goin on ebay yet.

Word of advice. Since its now on here id stash it someplace safe. In all honestly that is an incredible guitar

keep the guitar, in 10 years you will kick yourself that you sold your grandfathers guitar. you will regret it. 30k is a good chunk of change, but you will regret it.

Keep that guitar in a humidity controlled room.

Preferably one with a lock.

Keep it away from heat or cold, or the finish will crack.

I hope you have a good insurance policy on that thing.

They are only going up.

My dad has a gibson hummingbird that is worth about 6 grand, and he has all of the above done to it.

In addition to playing it once in a while, and keeping it in tune.

eBay it man, someone will want it

fawkn aye

glws

no dont sell your grandfathers guitar. it was passed down to you… you might as well keep that going for a while and wait alot longer. this will be worth about 5453783 times more then it is now later!

pic of appraisal?

unless you need money, keep this thing. i don’t see it depreciating ever. plus, it was your grandfather’s. anyway, sick guitar.

edit: oh yeah, insure that fucker right meow!

you already sold his coins now his guitar?lol.have anymore coins?

Thanks for the input everyone:thankyou:. This decision was agreed upon between my family as my sisters and I could all use the money in one way or another. It has been extremely well cared for and proper room conditions, insurance, safe storage, ect. have all been taken cared of. Again, I’m not making a huge effort to make this sell, just gathering some interest and maybe seeing if there was a true enthusiast who would really give this guitar the appreciation it deserves. I just don’t play music often enough anymore. We’ll see if the right buyer comes along…

Pic to follow tomorrow

Solid guitar.

Thats one piece of rock and roll history.

Man I could never sell something my grandfather gave me.

If you have to sell it, I hope it’s not to replace an engine or pay for tuition or something.

I will pass on the information to a couple people

dont sell it.

People pay 30,000 for a guitar?! holy shit. do you play it or does it just sit there as a collectors item?

they sure do, not for this one though.

My most expensive one was just under $10k and that was purchased recently, it gets maybe 10% the play my other guitars do. Depends on the person… some play them, some never even try to see if its in working condition.
