FS: 1968 Firebird Convertible

I just picked it up for myself, but decided to sell it and concentrate all my time on my 69 Camaro instead.

It would be best described as a cruiser / project car. It runs and drives fine for the little that I drove it. It has a 69 Pontiac 350 motor in it.2 speed automatic. Not sure on the gears. Manual top. The car was originally Meridian Turquoise, but like everyone usually does, it was changed to red. it will eventually need a restoration, but like I said, it would be a decent cruiser with some TLC. Restored 68 Firebird verts usually go for $15-$20,000. So would be a good investment. I just don’t have time for it.

Clear title ready to sign over.

More details if interested, just email me.

wow my friend has one that looks excatly like that, cept diff rims

Yea, I was going to remove and paint the rims the correct color. Doesn’t look right like it is now. Even though I’m not keeping it, I’ve been tinkering with it to improve the way I got it. That’s just the car guy in me.

looks pretty nice, not a bad price either…

engine/trans/rear?

It’s a cruiser as I said. Needs some TLC and you can enjoy it all summer. I’d keep it if it wasn’t for my 69 Camaro needing to get finished and since that is my true baby. Someone could drive this all summer, restore it over the winter and make a good $$$ selling it in the spring. It’s also a relatively rare (original blue) color combo for the Firebird.

350 engine from 1969 I believe with a 4bbl. 2 speed automatic. Not sure on axle gearing. I’ll probably crawl under it tomorrow.

oh i hate you.

if i didnt like sleeping in my bed more than on the couch i would be all over this… but the old lady would end me.

Here is the story. Say you want her to have a nice car and get it for her. Then gradually take it over as yours. Or find a friend to buy it that gives you driving priviliedges.

It will probably get listed on ebay next Sunday. I wanted to try and see what kind of response I would get for it locally. PM or email me with any questions

bump for a real fun project car

My mom had a 68 bird, it was sweet as hell.

Buy her this as a gift. Let her relive her youth. Hell, my dad acts like a 18 year old whenever he gets into his 57 Chevy.

uggggh, keep looking at these pics… :ohnoes:
next year I want to get into a '65-'70 sportsroof smallblock stang and do it up.
I should show these pics to my pop though.

Hey camarojoe…Ill show it to my g/f dad he into the classic…he has a 1969 camaro too. Lol what a coincident…anyway ill see what he says

If he wants to come and check it out, I’m home most weekday nights and weekends. Just PM or email me. Or you can reach me on my cell 390-6848 Joe.

I’m going to list it up on ebay in the next day or so if it doesn’t sell locally.

good luck with it! question - could you let me know what it goes for - was just talking about this car last night with a buddy of mine.

/me wishes I wasn’t still in payments on my car!

Not sure what it’s going to go for. It’s had a nice start though. After being up for 30 minutes last night it hit $1000. And I’m liking how its sitting right now, but it will go higher.

I have 56 people watching the auction and 5 people that are coming to check it out.

Go ahead, put a bid on it

don’t tempt me…

Updated - 68 people watching the auction. 7 local people that emailed me that want to check it out. 1 guy from Franklinville that said he is going to bring a trailer and cash when he checks it out on Saturday as he states he will make a worthwhile offer.

This is actually fun. I’m curious to see what it gets to. I’d have a hard time dropping big $$$ on a car without actually checking it out, but I should be busy the next few days showing it.

Now’s your time to bid

Relisted it. Ebay pulled it because I had the phrase not 67 or 69 Camaro in the title :meh:

Sad part is you see auctions like that all the time. It’s hidden in the policies.
