FS: 1978 Datsun 280Z - Silver 80k - Great Cond.

This car is not DOZR’s, he is selling it for a friend.

[FONT=Tahoma]1978 Datsun 280Z, Silver with Black interior. The car has only 80,000 miles on it. It was last inspected two years ago which it passed. [/FONT]

[FONT=Tahoma]It will need brakes and drums. It will also need a new driver’s side mirror, as the one I have now is broke at the base. It runs well now, and everything is in good working order (mechanically).[/FONT]

[FONT=Tahoma]I have never had a problem with it, even when it was my daily driver for a six month period. With a tune-up I would be confident driving it across the country, if I had to.[/FONT]

[FONT=Tahoma]It has some bubbling around the gas tank (common problem), and the two rear fenders. It also has a ¼” deep baseball circumference size dent in the roof. It has both the original stereo and a nice alpine head unit installed. I also had a cold air intake kit installed, with a K&N air filter.[/FONT]

[FONT=Tahoma]It underwent a frame off restoration in the 90’s by the second owner (old guy), and has been stored in a heated garage (no winters) by all of the owners. (First owner was Mike Barney’s, of Mike Barney Nissan, wife)[/FONT]

[FONT=Tahoma]I have almost all of the maintenance and repair documentation for the car. I don’t really want to sell it, but I haven’t driven it and don’t have time to do anything with it.[/FONT]

Oh MAN… I pass by this car every other day - seller has a sixties’ Impala, IIRC.

VERY sharp car and one helluva price. Wish I had the fundage right now because this is the next project car after the 'Stang. :tup:

pretty sure the owner bought it off my friends step dad who restored it a few years back…i drove it because i almost bought it for 3300 3 years ago…its REALLY clean…used to be Mike Barney’s wife’s car if its the one i think it is

most people worry about rust on datsuns. i saw pictures of the frame and everything on the car being restored properly to take care of all of that :tup:

however it did run a bit funny, hope it was taken care of
