FS: 1988 Audi 90 Quattro

My winter car from last year…I already have my S10 and Trans Am and am looking to sell this to make some room in the garage for winter. The car was amazing in the winter and was a blast to drive through the snow. I had some clutch problems in the spring and bought my S10 rather than fixing this (I’m Lazy). solid winter car, gl

Here’s some shitty pics:

I saw this on Craigslist the other day. Will it drive how it is?

Car hasn’t been driven in a few months…I wouldn’t reccommend driving it far…i would tow it to where the clutch would be installed.

GLWS jeff…

and good luck figuring out how to log on to your username before posting :stuck_out_tongue:

GLWS those clutches blow.

^ to install?

Yeah to install.

I’ll take it off your hands for $100.

the clutch is so bad it doesnt drive?

willing to take 500 for it?

~ how much for the clutch to be replaced?

501

501.01

perfect interior wowzors

To replace the clutch is like 500 bucks in labor. Not to be a jerk. I’m having the same problem with my 80. Unless you know someone who can hook you up. I guess you have to take out a lot of shit cuz it’s awd.

glws though. I <33333 these cars. They’ll run forever. 139k is NOTHING on these cars.

If I had the time and money I would so be buying this right now.

Total parts and labor for one of these jobs is gonna be around 1k. It took me around 18hrs to do mine, and that was on a lift with all the right tools.

In my opinion only the throwout bearing needs replacing. The clutch grabbed fine and car shifted smoothly. The pedal was just stuck to the floor like the clutch wasn’t engaging which leads me to believe its the throwout bearing. I figured if I was going to replace the throwout bearing I might as well do the whole clutch that is why I bought the whole clutch kit. As for the install its not a walk in the park but its not any worse than any other AWD vehicle.

Yeah but it’s an 88. Was the clutch ever replaced before? I bet there’s a lot of rusty bolts and shit. Not to diss. It is a big job.
