I took a deposit but will break the contractual agreement with the current buyer if someone else gives me more cash?

I can’t comment if that is legal or not but I hope the current buyer got a bill of sale with a singed receipt indicating that a deposit was received by the seller.

the buyer is my cousin and i had no money left due to some stuff…
he gave me $100 for pocket change and said if i can sell the car more than 1100 before he gets it next week, then sell it… the 100 wasn’t really a “deposit” or anything…
