FS: 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R $600 *SOLD*

Well, most of you will recognize this as it was Jay’s (addictdtoboost) old car. This is just a feeler, I’m looking for a quick sale. Here’s the breakdown:
This afternoon I had a little fender bender. I don’t have the money right now to repair it, so I figured I’d throw this up to see if anyone was interested. There’s about a fist sized dent in front of the driver’s side rear tire. The strut broke and the wheel sits slanted right now. It’ll need a new strut, an alignment, and the dent pulled out. That’s what the body shop quoted me.

Here’s the good on the car:
1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R
5 speed
145k chassis miles
about 60k miles on a JDM SR20DE
Clean title

The paint isn’t great. It looks good from a distance, but the original owner painted it himself and it’s nowhere near a professional job. The car was originally red (jams/underhood still red), and the exterior is now blue. The body is in extremely good shape besides the dent. There are a few small dings, but every body panel is straight and NO RUST. Just had it rustproofed 2 weeks ago. This is the first winter it’s experienced as it was originally a Virginia car.

Mods: JDM SR20DE with about 60k, JDM Tubular exhaust manifold into a 2.5" aftermarket catted midpipe, to a stillen catback, and it also has a JWT Pop Charger intake.

Suspension is stock. Obviously it’ll need the rear driver’s side strut as mentioned before. Has new wheel bearings up front, new axles, and new rotors/pads (front). Transmission shifts smooth, no grinds and no 5th gear popout (another common problem on most of these). Shifter bushings are worn but a new set come with the car.

The bad:

No headliner
Reverse Lights currently not working (I believe it needs the reverse switch)
Sunroof is 99% inoperable
Tach doesn’t work
Power steering belt will squeek on hard turns when its cold. It’s pretty good once warmed up though.

Extra’s that i will include with the car, all new in box:
Front wheel bearing
(2)New control arms w/ bushings and balljoints pressed in
Energy Suspension Front Swaybar bushings
Energy Suspension Shifter bushings

Overall, this car is an excellent runner. Just needs to get fixed up and seeing how I barely drive the car at school, it’s probably better off in someone else’s hands. I’ve owned the car since the end of July and have only put about 2,000 miles on it. Price is $600. I’ll have updated pics up hopefully by tomorrow evening.

Oh, and the car is currently located in Cortland, NY, which is about 30 minutes south of Syracuse. Pickup only and as it sits, it’ll need to be towed. It does run and drive, but I wouldn’t trust it with a slanted wheel and broken strut.

My cell is (716) 479-7025. I’m pretty busy tomorrow, but this weekend I’m a bit more free. Just leave a message and I’ll get back to anyone who calls.

my civic without the turbo, your car + $1k. With turbo, your car + $2k.

I checked it out, but at this point I’m not interested in the civic. Thanks anyways.

Pictures of the damage please.

I’d like to see what is bent/broken besides the strut.

This would be a fun daily…

pics as well

I would have been all over this car 2 months ago. I would be towing it home right now with a huge grin on my face.

for the record, i did not paint that car  previous owner to me did :stuck_out_tongue: haha bump for solid transportation tho!

WHoops! Sorry Jay! He is correct, the owner previous to Jay painted the car.

Here are some pics of the car and the overall damage. Sorry for it being so dirty. I did my best to show the damage but it was tough since the car was not up on the lift.

Price is more than good, just I don’t have any extra cash righ now or it would be gone.

I have all the pieces to repair it, if you want to give it a try. At most it will be the strut, trailing arm, and both parallel links. 11 bolts total. The biggest problem will be the 10" long 1/2" bolt that goes through both the parallel links and hub assembly. Chances are it will have to be cut, heat, and worked, heat, worked. IIRC they are $12 from the dealer.

want a cackord?

super reliable, beat as fuck, but will get you around no problem…

its a 92 accord w 180k and I’ve hit it with all kinds of stuff like baseball bats and what not. but it runs like a top haha

lmk

haha, i think i’ll pass on the accord for now. if i get desperate i’ll get back to you.

With a little work/repair, this would be a cool little daily driver.

I have a deposit taken, car is being picked up next Friday. So for now, consider it sold!

balls, lmk if it falls through somehow

jw, how much did the body shop quote you to do the repairs?

This car is officially SOLD!
