FS 1996 Grand Am Se

Ok I have a 1996 Grand Am Se 3.1L auto with traction contol and 125K on the clock for sale… gets around 28mpg usually. I bought this car off a friend of mine and it was leaking anti-freeze. Never overheated just leaked. Had new head gasket, upper and lower intake manifold gasket, fuel injector gaskets, valvecover gaskets, heads were gone threw and milled, hoses, vacuum lines, spark plugs, wires, new ignition control modual and coils, new battery and alternator. Drove it about 30 miles and started leaking anti freeze again. They say the new antifreeze caused the water pump to leak so it needs a new pump i guess. The car wasn’t driven in often for the last four years and not at all for a year when my buddy was in Europe. I am the third owner and have all reciepts and the car is super solid pant perfect good bridstone potensia’s. Interior great…the KBB on the car is 2700… she runs great, just needs a water pump. 1 year on the battery/alt, lifetime on head/upper/lower gaskets. I’m asking 1600 obo on her.

i can vouch for how amazingly clean this car is.
the interior is perfect and body is too.

if i had some cash and time i’d prolly get it and change the pump.

easiest and cheapest water pump to change ever

  1. Who said it was the water pump that was leaking antifreeze?
  2. What shop did the work on the top half of the motor?

My uncle owns a shop in salimanca and he said thats what it was

Why don’t you just have your uncle put on a new water pump?

ran outta money
