FS: 1997 Nissan 240SX LE

Hey all,

I told myself I’d NEVER see this day…But due to some unplanned events in my life (newborn baby), I’m now forced to make some lifestyle changes. I tried for almost 2 months now to make it work by stuffing my wifey in the seat behind me and removing the front passenger seat completely to fit the baby seat, but it’s definitely going way overboard.

The asking price is NOT reflective of the modifications done, but instead reflective of the absolute pristine showroom condition it is in. It’s all ‘show’, with very little ‘go’. It’s perfect for someone who wants a solid foundation for a big performance project, or someone who’s like me and just loves riding ‘slow and low’…If you want a car that’s a definite head-turner everywhere you go, and you don’t mind strangers approaching you everyday asking what kind of car it is, then this is the car for you LOL.

Here are the details…

Engine:

130,XXX Original kms (Stock KA that runs and pulls like new)
5 speed manual transmission
AEM short ram intake
Aurora 8mm spark plug wires (I have brand new OEM wires I purchased recently, with receipt as well)
NGK Spark Plugs
Nismo engine/tranny mounts (no engine play)
These are the only ‘performance’ upgrades that have ever been done to this car in its lifetime

Exterior:

Full paint job:
-Repainted in preparation for ‘Driven To Perform’ car show (not to repair any body damage)
-Same black Nissan KH3 paint code (did not change colour)
-Removed antenna and all emblems, then had the holes filled in professionally
-Rolled and pulled front fenders and rear quarter panels to compensate for aggressive wheel setup
-USDM front lip spoiler molded seamlessly to front bumper (1 entire piece)
-Nismo side skirts fitted perfectly to body

  • GP Sports rear bumper fitted perfectly to body lines
*All parts were installed and all work was done all at once, not a pieced together project
Amber corner lights (also have super white bulbs on-hand)
    Super white projector headlights
Yellow daytime/hi-beam lights (also have OEM white bulbs on-hand)
Yellow fog lights (bulbs, not the actual lamp)

Interior:

NO tint - I love how the sun shines in and lights up the bright interior
OEM White/taupe leather seats in great condition (no stains, rips, tears, burns)
Fully loaded with all power options
Power sunroof
Air conditioning
*All functions work 100%
B&M short shifter (2nd generation)
Carbon fiber shift knob
Full high power sound system:

  • 2 Boston Acoustic component tweeters
  • 4 Polk Audio mid-range speakers
  • 2 10” Pioneer 1000w subs
*Custom integrated with fiberglass enclosures in the side panels (BESIDE the rear seats, not the trunk)
  • Kicker Amp
    *Hidden under front passenger seat
  • JVC head unit with iPod hookup
  • Sound proofing under entire floor carpet (quiet ride, no rattles)
NOTE: This sound system was designed to ensure optimum functionality of the trunk. Meaning, it’s a fully functional trunk area.

Wheels/Suspension:

Motegi Touge Wheels (Front: 17x9 Rear: 18x10)
*Will include tuner lock-nuts and hub-centric spacers if you want
Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires (Front: 235ZR17 Rear: 265ZR18)
Tein Superstreet Coilovers - 6 kg/mm front and rear (perfect balance between comfort and performance)
*Ride height adjustable and 16 level dampening adjustability
Battle Version rear upper control arms
Tanabe front strut tower bar

Other:

Compustar 2-way alarm system w/ auto-start (2 remotes included)
Mobil 1 oil changes every 3-4K kms
Transmission fluid and rear-differential fluids changed with Royal Purple
Rust-proofed and undercoated
New MAF sensor
*Added secondary ground for MAF sensor
New thermostat
New coolant temperature sensor
New fuel filter
Fully cleaned out throttle body and idle air control valve
Never raced, tracked, drifted, etc
Only driven during spring-summer-fall. Winter stored every year. ZERO rust inside/outside/under.
All modifications were either done by me, or by professionals - no short cuts taken.

Only looking to sell to a mature buyer who lives by ‘you get what you pay for’ and not ‘but the book value says’…and (if it’s not too much to ask), who will keep in contact with me and keep me updated on how the car’s doing down the road LOL…

Asking $7,500

Open to reasonable offers. Serious inquiries only. Thread ‘noise’ will be ignored.

Email is preferred as I can check it a lot more frequently than the forum.

Thanks,

Dru

oh man, what a beautiful car and a hell of a price too. glws .

good price

nice car…

i drove my S14 for 3 years with a baby seat in the back. dont you have another more family oriented car to drive???

is it your stereo that makes it not possible to put a baby seat in the back seat? because i had no issues in my car other than the passenger seat had to be moved forward 2 clicks which made is uncomfortable for the passenger on longer trips but not impossible.

Great price, holy fuck.

someone should buy this…7-8 grand on some motor work and you have a really nice car for 15k…

Or, 7500 and u have a super clean everyday car !

ouuu dang

zomg clean.

Yeah, I PM’d you months back to ask how you managed with your car and your baby. I think you said your wife had a secondary car for you guys to use when your baby was still a newborn. Either that or you said that you never had a newborn rear-facing seat at the time you had your car…I forget.

I’m still in newborn mode and the length of the rear-facing seats are inches too long for the first latch of the passenger seat. Too bad. Although I removed the front passenger seat entirely to make due with what we have, it’s still not practical for my lifestyle.

The stereo is 100% hidden and doesn’t obstruct the interior space or trunk space what so ever, so it’s not the system.

free bump for a beautiful car.

looks really crisp. GLWS

yeah i never put the rear facing seat in my S14. I only have ever put a front facing seat in. You should just tough it out until babytown is in front-facing mode.

the car is clean, you’re going to regret getting rid of it just to be more comfortable for a few months.

we do have a family car that the wife drives so it was easier for us. if the S14 is your only car then that would be an issue. I still think you’re better off buying a second car for the wife to haul-family rather than selling the S14.

^ THIS… even though I got no baby or a baby mama, I TOTALLLY UNDERSTAND LMAO

Yeah, exactly what I feel.

But there’s a new law with baby seats for 2012. Kids up to 60lbs must be in rear-facing seats before switching to front-facing. That’s definitely longer than a few months. Well over a year I think too…sucks.

that can’t be the case… my son is 4 and only 34lbs. he wont be 60 lbs until he’s like 6 or 7 and rear facing seats are too small for him as it is… in fact, he cant even fit in his front facing seat anymore when bundled up for winter… i would check on that law if i were you.

^^ the law is that the bebe must be in a rear facing seat until they are 9kg…20lbs. after that you are good to slap it in a front facing seat and keep your clean ass car haha

put the baby in the trunk and go sliding fuck it
