FS: 2002 JETTA GLS 1.8T 5spd, really reduced price its GTG

Ok some back story back in June I leased a 2006 325ci and have been paying on both cars (Jetta has been off the road entire time) and it is really starting to hurt me. I have listed here once for almost 11k (around KBB suggestions). I can’t do the two car payment thing anymore I really need to move this, especialy since I am looking to buy a house real soon and need to be saving money not paying it out on a car I don’t drive.Enough of the sob story… the good stuff

Car has never been raced, dragged or dynoed, I have babied it in every possible way that I could. Oil changes every 5-7k miles it has had syntheic since I purchased it back in 2004 from a close fresh at 38,000 mi. The car has been chipped since 50k miles was performed by H2 Sport in Georgetown On. It has been sitting on Eibach springs since the orignal owner brought it how and immediately swapped out the stock ones.

Price is 8800 FIRM, absolute lowest I can go

*63,500K Miles - two owners
*5 Speed
*Galactic Blue Color
*Heated Gray Leather
*Long Beach 17" Wheels
*APR 93 Software
*Eibach Pro Springs
*Monster Mats
*SunRoof
*Moonson Audio
*Tinted Windows
*Car has every available option at the time except ESP package!

WOW, that is a steal, post pics, they sell cars

I’ve added this before, but I’m good friends with BOTH people who have owned this car, was there the day it was picked up new from the dealer, and I can vouch for it’s history.

As much as I tried, I could never get either owner to so much as autocross it. This car has had a VERY easy life.

And seriously dude, I’m going to go over to your house and bitch slap you if you don’t get the pictures added to this soon. I’ve told you at least 10 times that you need pictures to get this thing sold

eep

sounds nice

Esp. Glactic blue thats a hott color

The “scratches” in the picture are not scratches, they’re the snow coming down.

I’m sure he’s got better pictures he’s going to be uploading later.

im interested. please let me know if the car needs any thing and if you have more pics

Just added pictures.

It MAY and that is a big may need a battery. It has been sitting for quite a while and tried as I have to started it every other day I feel off the wagon and if i let it go for a while the battery drains. But it can be jumped and holds a charge for at least a week so something tells me It just might need to be driven.

The only other thing I can advise of is in the spring I would replace the rear rotors, the front rotors and all 4 pads where done in spring of 2005 but autohaus.

I bet that battery would be fine with a decent charge. If you can move the car close enough to get an extension cord out to it just borrow my charger next time you’re over.

How much would differ from jumping with bmw and letting alternator charge it?

Not sure, I’ve never actually tried to charge a car using another car. I know a battery charger is actually designed for it, so I’m guessing it would work a lot better.

Wow, I’ve pretty much given up on the idea of selling my car since there has been very little interest in it so I might as well just admit that anyone looking for a Jetta would be a fool to buy mine over this.

Nice car. Ideal DD: Quick, good on gas, luxurious (seriously, there’s a reason why nobody replaces the stock seats in these cars) and that 1.8T responds well to mods and is bulletproof. At that price it’s a steal and should sell fast. GLWS

CLEAN car. =)

hmm…

You should buy it, then sell it in a couple months

since the camera pics kinda suck can you tell me if there are any scratches? has it been in any accidents/fender benders? how does the clutch feel…does it slip at all? did you replace the timing chain yet? did you have the oil changed frequently? thanks

worth the money imho.

*belt. Good question, it should be done right around then.

There are few scratches all are mild except one, which would be this one

I actually have no idea of its origin it was from when the orignal owner had the car, JayS you happen to remember how this happened to Geoff?

Other than aforementioned mention problem no other fender benders. Clutch feels great no slipage or anything, in the winter it is a bit annoying until it warms up but common with vw’s if it bothers you switch to something like GM Synchromesh it fixes that from what I read on vortex.

Oil changes have been rigid 5k-7k using Mobil1 0W 40 and 5w 30

Timing Chain… good question, no that is a around 70k mi item that I was planning on doing but alas got a new car

I’m considering it!
