1983 VW Rabbit GTI
2dr, 5sp Silver (w/ Black fender flares)
Approx 200-230xxxkms

New: The Good Stuff
-Driverside CV Axle
-Inner and Outer bearings on left rear hub
-Volt regulator
-Fuel pump & relay
-Battery

Winter VW rims (steelies) and good condition tires
Summer VW snowflake 1-off rims (sandblasted & protected) with 2 month old tires
8mm spacers on rear tires

Extras:

  • Momo shift knob & boot
    -Alpine deck w/ 10" Kicker sub, Pioneer 6x9’s, 3.5" Rockford tweets
    -Clear corners on fronts
    -Ski/Board Racks (Barrecrafters)
    -VW 12pt CV socket (if any work need to be done on CV)

-New Axles (CV joints, boots and axles) Drivers & Passenger Side

-Concept-1 Short Shifter and bushing kit installed.

  • The car was overhauled, all rust taken out properly and re-painted… looks factory. (Cost- $4000)
  • New brakes front and rear.
  • New shocks in the front.
  • No leaks, engine is strong.
  • New wires, plugs, regular tune up stuff
  • Analog Oil pressure gague installed, runs within spec.
  • New Clutch Cable.

The Bad: Minor Imperfections
THERE is only MINOR RUST along rocker and slight bubbling of paint around antenna
Odometer doesn’t work all mileage put on my my bro has been highway and generously calculated.

If anyone wants a crazy sleeper… swap in a 2.0L motor ($400-500) for 155hp on a 1700lb car. I’d do it but i already have a project 240 in the works.

History: My brother is the 3rd owner of this car. The second owner is a good family friend and the first owner is the friends uncle who only had service done by the Dealership. The only reason we had to do a CV axle replacement was because the boot was torn and it was warrantied and warranty still exist. Buyer will get all recipts we have.
