Find a stock trans, and only do rolls from now on until you can afford to send your tranny to shep this winter.

The trans went from high mileage and double stock power and torque. The center diff is a 2 spider design from the factory and over time or from torque the 2 spiders are just not enough. Usually the spider gears themselves break and take out the the gears in the trans or the spiders come right through the case… see scott’s tranny surprize. This trans is not rebuildable. Side note Scott I found you a trans in rochester possibly for 150-200.
yes i just bought it, yes i have the new title, and the tranny was not “new”. it had been pounded.
The car is also a 92 with 90 driveline and a 4bolt. This trans was in my car 5 years ago now it is used and abused but worked good. I told Rob his next upgrade should be a welded center diff and rebuild.

Tre has some trannies ready to go no core required right now for cheap imo. http://www.teamrip.com/SPECIALS.htm I would suggest the second to last 90 stage 1 for $1250. Generally a rebuild with weld or 4spider is in the 1375 range.
Side note I have a no miles shep stage 1 for 850.
