FS '93 Impreza L AWD 5MT Many Mods

SOLD!

Thanks for all the comments!

OK…The time has come.
I’m selling “The Project”. This has been a really great car to play with. I’m only the second owner, I’ve had it for 3 years. The original owners were an older couple, drove it daily from Wayland to Rochester. They took great care of it, but it IS 14 years old with almost 208,000 miles. Man, these cars are built to last.
Runs perfect, handles even better.

Clear side markers
Clear turn signals-front

Power windows/locks

Asking $3200
Located in Rochester.

so tempting… if it only had less miles =/

Considering the care it’s had, the miles don’t mean nothin’. And you already know how cheap Suby parts are to buy.

If the car has that many miles already, you know its good for more. GLWS

damn that thing is nice. glwts

stick or auto

and is it a 2.5 or 2.2

93’s are all 1.8L “feel the power”
and as the header says it’s a 5 speed

wow, good looking car GLWTS

Mentioning if you ever changed the cam belt or seals would help the sale along. As well as if you ever messed around with the head gaskets. Listing previous work done on the engine is more important than the mods because if you did replace the belt/seals/head gaskets (if the h.g. needed it) then that car is worth it’s weight in gold with the way that looks. I see cars with 220k go through in sales for $3k all day, so if any of that is done this car is a steal. I used to have an Impreza and finding parts for it was not only hard in my opinion, but very expensive.

Someone buy this car.

Well…
Since you asked: prior to my ownership
1/02 165,000m Full exhaust w/converters (new muffler added since)
3/02 169,000m Fuel lines/ Timing Belts
6/03 187,000m Half shaft & tie rods
8/03 190,000m Plugs & Head & Valve cover gaskets

Look for yourself

wow, that actually looks pretty good.

Good choice of color. If I was in the market for DD I’d be all over this

thats a engine shot
2.0L
EJ205

I wish I could have a 2.5 turbo that I could afford :frowning:

It is great to know that all that important work was done. It deters alot of people from getting subie’s because of the headgaskets that normally go after 100k miles, but for some it never happends. Very nice.

BTW if someone buys this I have halo headlights for this same car. Used to have them on my 96 Impreza.

bump

the head gaskets were only a huge problem on the 2.5L

PHASE 1 (Dual Overhead Cam):
Used in:
1996 to 1999 Legacy Outback
1996 to 1999 Legacy GT
1998 Impreza RS
1998 Forester

PHASE 2 (Single Overhead Cam):
Used in:
2000 to present (non-turbo) Legacy Outback
2000 to 2004 Legacy GT
2000 to present Legacy
1999 to present non-turbo Impreza 2.5 (RS, TS, Outback Sport)
1999 to present non-turbo Forester

the 1.8L is a good motor and could last a lot longer that 208
