My winter ride. She isn’t much to look at, but I’ll post pics in a bit. The car runs fine. I put a tranny in it about 3 months ago, plus a belt tensioner, alternator and some other stuff - about $800 total in parts / labor. But I’m willing to take a hit to move this car out.
Things it “needs”
Passenger Mirror (If you really want - not needed to pass inspection)
Cam Position Sensor
Other than that, it makes a good work car or something to just get from place-to-place. I just won’t have a place to put it once summer gets here, so its gota go.
Car does not come with the Optima Redtop Battery Pictured. It does however come with 4 95% new all-season tires
Inspection is good until the end of April. It does throw a check engine light, so that sensor and the mirror would need to be taken care of.
It’s a beater. If you gun it, it doesn’t downshift fast and sometimes jearks and it doesn’t charm the ladies, but it gets you where you’re going. I can’t say how well it will hold up, I’ve only driven it for 3 months this winter.
The only other thing I forgot to mention is that I need this car for a few more weeks, or until my clutch / suspension install on the Z is complete.
Nope. Doesn’t burn oil. Tranny fluid leaked out for a bit after the install, but stopped and never went below the MAX fill on the dipstick. Because of the sensor, sometimes when it starts it idels weird but goes back to normal after some warming up or driving.
I can get rid of the car this week, in fact I’d prefer to.
does it have any CEL’s right now with that sensor?
anything, if that IS throwing a CEL - that it would need for inspection, e.g., e-brake working? i know a girl who REALLY needs something more reliable than her POS '94 escort wagon, i fucking hate that thing.
so do HotRodKid and MiniSRT4. they hate her car too.
