i realized i jump into deep water with a dsm i guess, i miss my simple hondas , soo once i get another one im sticking with it whether i like it or not, i gotta start worrying about school rather than what car i want next.
holy crap is the thing a whore. no rust isn’t actually true. when we first got the car it had alot of rust but most of it has been sandblasted. the hatch and hood got the worst of it. I did what I could with that hood but if you open the hatch you’ll see the rust.

a big thanks to Mr Burch, tie rods have been fixted, tps was adjusted eliminating the check engine light problem, and the control module has been replaced fixing the tach.

also forgot to add the car has a nice pioneer head unit in it.
As previous owner i know cruise works perfect,power steering is perfect, but the a/c didnt have a belt on it when i bought it and last owner said it didnt function
The rust is severe. The hatch is bad on the inside. Most if it was sandblasted off so there is no more rust at all at some spots. Some spots were just too far gone. The joint at the right side off the rear bumper we couldn’t get too cause the bolts for the bumper were stuck on. The rockers of the right side has a hole it.
Bottom line is the rust on the hood and hatch will come back. We tried but it was so bad. The bodywork and paint was all done using topnotch products. The paint used to be flawless. It should still be completely free of orange peel (except for spoiler). Most likely the flattest paint I’ve seen. Wetsand and buffed whole car multiple times.
The car has the window frame problem alot of dsms suffer from. When you close the door it rattles.
The car also has a hole in the oil pan. Its nothing to serious but it’s there.
It has a slight grind problem also to from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.
Its A 2nd Gen so crankwalk is a problem I didn’t know of it when I seen it but someone said that it has it so…
The grinding , i have no clue what your talking about, it grinds once out of about 30 times , putting it in first and thats it, no other gears grind.Theres no crank walk with the car either.And as far as i know there is no hole in the oil pan anymore, hasnt leaked a drop since ive owned it.
ok there is alot of wrong/confusing/strange shit going on in this thread, this car is my dd and i drive it everyday to work ,school etc, and have had it for over a month with the only problems being the front suspension, the tach , and the check engine light.Car starts up every time,and has never given me any other problems.If anyone is interested /would like to come check the car out/ drive it be my guest. If not please dont shit up my thread with miss information.The rust shit besides the underside of the hood i have no clue what these kids are talking about

If someone is concerned about the hood, I am 99.9% sure I can find a replacement in about 2 minutes of searching. They are a dime a dozen. Everything else doesn’t sound too serious. If it has crankwalk, you’ll know it.
I wish I had the space, I would buy this for a DD and rid myself of a car payment.
