the time has come to part ways with my car. it has 141,xxx miles and runs like a champ. ive had the car for nearly 2 years and its come to the point where i want something new. I was collecting parts to twin turbocharge it until i had a rear end accident a month ago. all the work was done at the West Herr collision center where i work. It was done as professionally as can be and looks perfect. Clean title, clean carfax except for the accident i just had. VIN can be given upon request. the car is Panama metalic green with cream white leather interior.

Maintenance since ive owned the car:
Mobile 1 full synthetic 10w30 every 3000-4000 miles, i just put in the new stuff that is garunteed to last 10,000 miles
all 4 rotors resurfaced
new clutch slave cylinder
new clutch master cylinder
almost new alternator (10k miles)
Optima Red Top battery
New timing belts and timing tensioner
I have a new oil pump for it but havent found the time to install it working 30some hours a week and going to school full time. its due at 120,000 miles and i have no idea if it was ever done. better safe than sorry.
im sure theres a lot more im not thinking of, that list is way too short. ill edit this as i remember more.
The Bad:
the car needs some TLC. It has trouble starting somtimes. it gets a click from the starter solonoid but doesnt turn. if you keep trying it will usually fire up…however if it doesnt i find that a jump does the trick. it could need a new starter, (you can get them cheap used on 3si.org) or it might be the battery wire from the starter to the battery is corroded.
The tranny is a little notchy on cold starts but when it warms up it smooths out. a change to GM syncromesh tranny fluid should do the trick
the car needs an alignment because of the coil overs. the camber is way off and its eating away one of the tires. i have a spare set of wheels in my garage, stock stealth wheels with decent tires on them though.
needs new wheel bearings on the front passenger side. pretty cheap fix, once again just havent had the time to do it. it vibrates a little over 60mph but its nothing unbearable, at least not to me. i dont think anyone else has complained. you’ll have to see for yourself i suppose.
the hood should be resprayed. the paint is actually burnt because of the extreme heat from the engine and the summer sun. the headshield underneith was removed and it ruined the paint. i had the hood quoted at 300-350 dollars to be redone where i work, but i figured i would just get a carbonfiber hood instead for 400 and never have to worry about the paint on it again. its up to you which to do. if you want i can have them spray the hood for you at my discount.
THE GOOD:
the car is a sort of fixer-uper but with a little time it should run perfect. its definatly worth it. the car turns heads eveywhere i go. ive had compliments on it almost every day since i bought it.
other than the hood the paint looks great. chips n scratches here n there, but nothing you wouldnt find on any other 11-12 year old car. its not a show car by any means but it does look good. you WILL pick up girls with this car. just tell them its a ferarri
