The centre sections are fucked… the compressor housing and exhuast housing have less than 10km’s on them.
you can try to rebuild, i sent it back to Precision and didnt like the rebuild price…
might be nice to strap the compressor and exhuast housings onto a decent T28 centre section or a T25 and make something sorta neato…

Bit off topic but did you contact garrett regarding their CHRA exchange program? You might be able to get a new center section for a somewhat good price… Unless you’re going bigger and have no need to fix it 
i already have another GT2871R on my car, this is just a parts turbo.

looking into it for my t28 - blew the oil seal
all that is busted on this one is teh centre cartridge, likely wont help you with your issue.
i dont recall the price but it was more economical to just buy a new one for me.
