FS: CLEAN 2002 Subaru WRX with STI motor swap

The car was imported from North Carolina in May, and was originally purchased in Arizona. This is a lower states car and has never seen winter with snow and road salt and junk. It is RUST FREE. Car recently passed e-test and won’t need anything for safety.

The engine was overheating, and eventually the motor was pulled. The heads were machined flat, and new Cometic Multi-Layer Steel headgaskets were installed, along with an EJ255 block (less than 10,000kms on it) and CP forged pistons. I later discovered the issue was not the block, and something stupid someone had done with the hoses.

The car is going to the shop on Tuesday to be pro-tuned on the dyno.

To be honest, I’m a student and could never afford the car in the first place, let alone the repairs. I LOVE this car to death and had planned on keeping it for a very long time.

Body has roughly 150,000kms on it. Engine has 10,000kms on it.

Oh, I forgot to put in the add, but the tune on Tuesday isn’t going to be a cheap one…
and last time this car was dyno tuned (before forged internals) it put down 350 awhp and 365 tq. Expecting that this time around too.

did u not end up using the tial 44mm Wastegate?

it says Xo2 44mm WG in the ad, but on the net it says the Xo2 has a 10psi spring. Apperently it has a 5psi spring though so they couldnt tune the car how they wanted it only made 18psi and 280awhp and 300tq

Yeah. Something’s a little weird with the wastegate. I dunno too much about this Xo2 one, but in future would consider a Tial or something similar.
