I have a Hi-Point 9MM handgun for sale (Model C9.) A buddy of mine gave it to me for protection when I thought I was moving to Youngstown. I’m sticking around here though, and my girlfriend hates me having it in the house, so it’s gotta go. It’s had maybe five clips of ammo unloaded through it at the range, so it’s in great condition. I’m including the lockable, padded case and the one 8-round clip that I have for it. No clue what it’s worth, so shoot me some offers via PM if you’re interested in it (I guess I’d like to get around $100 for it if possible, but that’s in no way firm.) I live up by New Castle, PA, which is about an hour or so from the 'Burgh. Keep that in mind if you’re interested, cause I’m not sure when I’ll be down that way with my school schedule being the way it is.
I’m not here to judge…or snitch, but you may want to involve an FFL on a handgun transaction.
If your friend “gave” it to you, you may want to check into who owns the gun. Unlike long-guns, handguns are registered to an individual in a federal DB.
^^what he said. the buyer and seller can go to any gun shop and it costs like $25 to have the title transferred into the buyers name. both persons must be present at time of transaction. but yeah, before selling/buying be sure to get the serial number and have it checked.
I can PM the serial number to anyone interested for an inspection - Just ask if you want it. The gun was never transferred into my name though, so I’m not sure how this’ll all work (I’m not a gun person at all - This was my first.)
i belive if it is in your friends name you are going to have to get it transfered from his name to the new buyers, basically bypassing your name.
if the other sale falls thru or starts to take to long, i got the cash in my pocket right now, ill even drive where ever you and your friend (the registered owner) is
I keep getting fucked over by people saying they want shit and never gimme the cash for it. If someone wants his 9mm go ahead and buy it. If not when i get the cash this saturday ill buy it
Yeah, but I can’t get the papers for it very easily, as the original owner lives 4+ hours away in Lancaster, OH. If it were a more expensive firearm, I wouldn’t mind the trouble, but with gas prices the way they are, I’ll do good to break even going that route.
The gun must be taken to an FFL dealer in the state of ohio by the owner which the firearm is registered to
The gun is shippeed to an FFL dealer in Pa
The gun may now be transfered into the Pa residents name
If you buy a gun and dont transfer it your an Idiot be ready to face the consequences of having an unregistered weapon.
Ok - Definitely not worth all the hassle here. I’m prolly just gonna dispose of it and call it a day. Mods/admins can delete/close this thread whenever they’d like to.
