I figured I might as well throw this out here just in case since we do have a number of goalies on the forum. I’ve got my Vaughn Velocity 2 Pro glove for sale. I’ve only used it for one year. It’s in great shape. NHL spec! Originally bought it for $375. I have it on ebay, here’s the link:
Awesome, thanks for fixing the link. Yeah this was the glove I was using Thursday. I’ve got a new TPS Summit Lite glove being delivered, so I figured I’d get this up on ebay to hopefully sell it before I go back to school.
You mean the cheater side bars?? :lolsign: Yeah it doesn’t have those because it’s NHL sized. I used it for just this past season of college hockey, and we had to have the new NHL regulation sized equipment, so that’s why those deflection sides are missing. I don’t really want to go lower than $200 and that’s with shipping included. PM if you’d like to talk more.
$200 takes it. For those goalies out there who’ve got the old larger illegal sized gloves, the days of those gloves are numbered. Pretty much everything is moving to NHL spec because it just doesn’t make sense to make equipment that would be considered illegal by the pros.
i used to be a koho guy too, but now there’s nothing from koho/rbk I would wear. and while simmons are nice guys, and i like their cups, c/a’s, and pants, (and I got my hackva helmet through them) Im rocking itech 11.8 pads and vortek gloves (vortek is whats up).
a lot of people have told me that vaughn is really great stuff, and if i like what i’ve got i’d like some things vaughn’s put out.
im rockin everything from simmons ultalight 2 pads matrix 1 blocker, glove, helmet, and pants. 902 or what every number it is chestprotector i love their stuff
i have the 991 chest protector. got blasted in the stomach thursday from a close proximity slapshop (i dont think ive ever been hit in the actual stomach before) and it hurt like a bitch.
when I was younger i just got whatever I could come up with, but now that I’m a little older I can experiment with different stuff and get equipment more suited to my style and taste
Pretty much all you need to do is look at what the pros are wearing to know what’s good. All you see is Vaughn and RBK. TPS is startin to make a comeback too. And of course, none of it is stock, all custom. But it’s still those guys makin the equipment. There are some guys here and there that really have pads nothing like the ones you see on the market. Perfect case in point, Ryan Miller. His RBK pads are absolutely nothing like the real ones. They’ve got the old school shin and knee rolls, but that’s what he’s worn since college and what he likes. And they obviously work for him, so RBK’s gotta make them for him for their marketing/advertising. But back to the thread, 4 days left in the auction! I know it’s up to like $180 on ebay right now, but I’ll let it go to anyone on the forum for $175 before the auction ends. PM me or call my cell (716) 479-7025.
