but really, i dont follow the ls1 aftermarket that closely but after experiencing it…for the money this combo cant be beat. think 03-04 cobra performance with a pulley in na motor form for CHEAP. not to mention the cam sounds fucking bad ass. spray on top of that and youve got a hell of a street car. someone on here should seriously pick this up, its not all that much for a strong setup that will make close to 450rwhp all day long :headbang:

What exactly happened to the motor in this car? I heard it let go at the track. Bearings? Any metal go through the motor? Any damage to other parts?

I had one rod bearing let go, i must have just caught it as it happened and turned the car off cuz there was no other damage to anything, a few metal shavings in the oil pan, everything looked intact except for a rod cap discolored which ended up being the culpret. I was a quart and a half low in oil when i pulled it, shoulda checked it b4 the track, i know these motors burn oil, the gay ls1 pvc system sucks oil out of the valve cover and into the motor. lesson learned, plus missing gears and revving who knows how high didnt help the situation. everything else, pistons, cylinder walls look like brand new, not bad for 600hp on spray.

So buy my heads/cam setup and check your oil! :roll2:

Damn dude the oils monster is terrible, i dont know how mine is still together. I will nail it and watch my oil gauge go from 70ish and drop to like for thats when i know to add some lol.

Just curious - how many miles are there on this cam? I’m interested, but it’s for a daily-driver type car.

TSP 5.3L stage 2.5 heads, 220cc intake runner, 2.02/1.60 valves, they flow 312cfm, 63cc combustion chambers i believe which gives you 10.75:1 on a stock motor, prc dual valve springs, titanium retainers, yada yada.

CompCams 233/239 duration cam, .595/.603 lift, 1900-6500rpm, 112lsa

TSP 7.400" pushrods

Heads/Cam/Pushrods ~ $1200

ARP head bolts (torqued once with this combo) ~ $50

FAST 36lb/hr injectors ~ $275

Stock 853 LS1 heads (24k miles, untouched) ~ $50
(Somebody requested pix of these heads but i lost their screen name when i cleaned out my inbox, so if your out there hit me up)

1999 stock LS1 shortblock, spun bearing, good condition other than that, approx 25k miles. $make offer…

2001 Front and rear seat, charcoal gray/black (perfect condition) ~ $500
