i installed the shifter yeaterday…
the install took roughly, 40 mins…
this is a great shifter, way better than the stock one…
the throw is greatly reduced…
during shifting, each shift is direct and solid…
great shifter if anyone is thinking bout purchasing this…
thanx a lot Varun(slipperysilvia)
I have the shifter still waiting to install… bought it about 3 months ago… any way I can the lil fasteners for the kit that megan has now started to supply?
a little off topic but how easy would it be to add threads to this shifter. I would like to hack off a couple inches so it sits lower. Is this going to be doable, or should I not try it cause it’s going to ruin my whole SS unit? BTW, I have the OBX. Thanks.
i have the obx and have been running it for a while now. when i bought it off deez, he had cut it by i think a half inch or so, no complaints at all. but i can’t compare it to how it was before it was chopped since it was always cut.
then again, these companies put alot of R & D on shifter weight, balance, LENGTH, ect. i think u should seriously think about how much to hack off, and leave room for your shift knob too.
the only complaints with the shifter so far…
IMO are theres a little buzzing with higher RPM’s…
and when i go to shift into reverse, it wont stay, so i have to hold it into gear…
but other than that the shifter has nothing wrong with it
the shifters are great
its way better than an obx
and it installs in 5 minutes
the only catch is that you have to cut the plastic ring (bushing) off your stock shifter to put it onto the megan
