FS/TW - 1974 Nova SS Pro-Street Project Car (Updated W/pics 56K DIAF!!!!)

Well, after many arguments with myself I’m finally just going to get rid of my long-term project. I don’t have the motivation nor time/$$ to put it back together anymore. Also there is a finders fee (5% cash of purchase price) offered if you find a buyer

1974 Nova SS 2dr Coupe
Back-halved (Chassis Engineering 4-Link kit, CE 10-pt cage, & Subframes)
Ford 9" Rearend, shortened over 6"
Moser 33 Spline custom axles
Convo Pro 15x15 rear wheels W/Sportman Pro tires
Hooker BBC headers/Headman SBC headers (I’ll include both)

The car is fully disassembled but is a rolling chassis.

I have 90% of the parts to re-assemble; everything but the custom stuff that will be needed to finish the project.

It is a full steel body with some repairs done in lower corners, it could possibly use new lower 1/4s if making into a show type car; otherwise they can be repaired and look/work fine for a street/race car.

I have all the body panels, interior, hood, glass, core support, grille, both steel bumpers, etc; the car was complete when I tore it apart.

This was my first car when I was 16, I restored it, then had it back halved in what was going to be a pro-street car for myself, I then went to college and the car has sat since. So all the parts from when I took it I have in boxes.

Rough items needed to finish (Not a complete list, but pretty close):
-Wire harness Kit (Like a painless fusebox and wire kit)
-Engine
-Trans
-Driveshaft
-9" 3rd member
-Back-half sheetmetal (Wheel wells, and panels; There were aluminum panels put in by the shop who did the back-halving, but they looked like crap and were removed; I was going to put steel panels in but never did)
-Interior (I have all the panels, but due to the back-halving, the rear part will have to be custom if decided to put an interior in.
Time…

I can get/will have pictures next weekend time frame. I’m just starting to dig into my dad’s garage to get everything out. The car is located in Spencerport, (west side of rochester), but will deliver within 50 miles of Spencerport; greater than 50 miles will cost a minor delivery fee.

I’m looking for $1500 or best offers. No reasonable offer will be refused at this point. (Finders fee too people!!!)

does a motors trans and third member come with the car?

I have a 3rd member for the 9", but I’m not sure how good it is, it’ll need to be rebuilt no matter what.

No engine or tranny included.

But I have a TH400 tranny that I maybe willing to include depending on the price.

once you get some pics up, i might have a possible buyer that lives in livonia… (should be within 50 miles)

YES; not a Spirit of America car though.

how long on the pics, i’m pretty interested

how much does it weigh?
any idea?

I’ll have pictures next weekend; soonest I can have them; AKA the next time I’m going to Rochester when i can stop and take pictures.

Weight: in full stock form my title says 3200#s. Final weight will depend on the motor/tranny combo mainly, combined with what is done with the interior; my guess is with a BBC/TH400 & mild but full interior around 2500#s if not less.

These are the pictures that I took yesterday. I was going to reassemble it into a rolling chassis, but I couldn’t find the front brake rotors/hubs so I couldn’t put front wheels on it. I have the entire front suspension minus the brakes/hubs. There are 6" casters bolted to the subframe so it can be rolled around easially.

I have the inner fenders in the attic as well as the headliner, all original glass, and a bunch of boxes of parts/hardware for the rear suspension, interior, and chassis.

There is a layer of surface rust on the cage (most of the brown u see is self-etching primer, not rust, most of the car was painted with it before it got put into storage), but a lot less than expected for a car that has been sitting for almost 10 years. It wasn’t left is the open, it was always tarped and/or wrapped in plastic and such. A good sandblast job will clean it all up and make it ready to have the rear sheet metal done.

Please tell anyone who would be interested, I’m looking to get rid of this thing, sooner the better. It is in Spencerport, NY at the end of the 531 highway in my dad’s driveway.
