FTW need someone now

belt replacement on Z
-need someone with a jack low enough to get under my car and someone that has some idea of what theyre doing …i have step by step w/ pictures how to do it and im in a warm warehouse…
now please

if i dident have to write this paper id be down, and as far as the jack, just drive it up onto a piece of wood or sumthing to lift it up then a regular jack will work

yes 2x4 ftw

i dont have a jack in my car and im stranded here

where are you stranded?

u r stranded in a heated warehouse with no jack and want someone to rescue u :f4g0r:

yea im sitting here i just used one of our machines to tow the car into the building and now im waiting for my friend to grab the tools from my house and giv eme his little jack out of his grand am - this sucks

so your not stranded. you have someone getting you what you need right? because if not i can give you a hand depending on where you are.

i should be able to do everything now that hes bringing me my tools and i dont have to not only find tools here but see which standard ones will fit what metric sizes :bloated: but id love a hand im in tonawanda off of colvin.

I would but right now i am wqest seneca. thats a hike for me and my beater. sorry.

mayb if u still need a hand if u wanna tell me exactly where u r i could prob stop by

hey were you leaving ub today around 12ish i seen u in my truck (white with a shit load of mud on it)

ive done belts on my z a million times, when are u doing it?

in like 15 mins when my friend shows up with my tools

How did it go? Should have been painless… I was in Canada.

i remembered ur peptalk and had the printout from twinturbo.net and was on mycell phone with newman while i was under there cause i got a little confused at first…but once i got my tools from my friend…went smooooooooth

yea best thing to do is just be calm and take ur time, its nothing more then a few tensioners and maybe have to take the fan off

didnt need to take the fan off…just kinda looped the belt around it from up top then got under the car and loosened up tensioner…and thats it  …but i dont normally work on …anything…so it took me a few minutes until i figured out what i was doing and then felt good after that i saved the 60+ dollars of going somewhere for a simple task

hell yeah  to DIY

what would you have done if i wasn’t on the other end of the phone. <3
