I thought I put up with alot of bull shit when I had a Nissan but now I think Nissan is the best dealership in the world. I started smelling transfer case fluid last week in the stealth and knew it was recall time. The TC is known to leak and/or crack whick can cause damage to the internals. So I let Dodge in Sabraton have the car to check it out and they said it was leaking and they were just going to reseal it on friday. They said they added fluid and I could drive it till then. I go to pick the car up, put it in gear, and and doesnt move very fast. It was revving find but it was like something wasnt catching. This was odd since it was perfectly fine when I brought it to them. I shifted to reverse so I could back it up to the dealership again and it made a clunk and then started grinding. This pissed me off so I went to talk to the last guy there (they were closing). He said all they did was check for a leak, found one, and ordered a reseal kit. He guarunteed they did nothing else to it. This was odd since I found a copy of the recall papers and they clearly state that if a leak is found they are required to remove the TC and inspect all gearing and such to make sure nothing was damaged. If they did nothing but check for a leak then they already violated the recall. I dont know what to do. I am hoping what I heard was just the TC locking up and grinding and nothing else is wrong. If they charge me anything, shits gonna hit the fan. Anyone got any advice or input? Dodge will never get my business again, as they have proven to me that they dont give a fuck about me or my car. Oh, one more thing. The recall paper said if the parts would take more than a day to get in they should make it a point to offer a loaner car as to not inconvenience the owner. I will be bringing that up today too. :bash: :spank:
how long ago was this recall sent out? and when did you buy the car?
some dealers are better than others, goto another dealer.
tooo long…cliff notes please
Recall was started several years ago but they wont do anything until the TC is leaking. I bought the car about 2.5 weeks ago.
LOL, I thought about that. Then I remembered the car wont move. it sucks.

call the number there… its says they just have to reseal it if it is leaking
tow truck???
That isnt the official paper. http://www.stealth316.com/misc/3S_AWD_trans_service_manual.pdf
click on that if you have ok net speed and scroll down to page 81. That is the official recall and has instruction to remove and inspect the TC and it’s internals.
Would rather not waste the money. In this town a tow to the next dealer would cost $90.
I’ve been saying dodge sucks for over 10 years now
All they know how to build/service is trucks. I have an even harder time dealing with them since my Dodge was built in Japan. Nissan raped you in labor charges but they made sure shit was right and always tried to help.
I hate dodge too, I have to work on both of my parents Caravans and they suck so bad. Tranny’s are slipping, oil leaks a lot, bumper completely destroyed when my mom tapped the other van by mistake, the doors don’t like to stay on, the radio’s die, argh. I hate chrysler. haha

even there trucks suck ass now!!! they are complete junk!!!
Chebyy > Ford > Chrysler
As far as my experiences with American car dealers
GM>Ford>D/C
Do you have any mitsubishi dealers around. They would be better prepared to work on that car than the Dodge dealer. They probably haven’t touched one in years.
i hate dodge
hahahah
We do but it isnt in their computers since it is a Dodge. It is a complicated thing mitsubishi and dodge have going on.
didnt mopar win pro stock sunday?
