full lunar eclipse tonite, 2/20

The rings were bright though.

Somehow doubt it.

a) Saturn was hard to see through a really good telescope at Harvard

b) the ring certainly wouldn’t show up or be as bright as the planet

c) I think he must have been taking pictures of a car.

Not necessarily true. I have a 5 inch telescope and can see Saturn pretty well, although it’s pretty tiny. That’s actually exactly what
Saturn looks like through a telescope. It’s white.
