Touge Tuning is proud to now be an authorized Distributor of Function & Form Autolife products. These coilover kits have received numerous reviews on Honda-Tech all with the customer expressing there satisfaction with the product and service. Also these are not only available for Honda’s, we have them for everything from G35’s to Toyota Camry’s so feel free to inquire about any fitment. I have negotiated with Function and Form to allow me to offer the best pricing on individual coilover sets instead of requiring a 5 kit order.
Here is some info about the coilover kits:
-24 levels of dampening adjustable.

-6061 Aluminum construction with T6 for added strength.
-Forged and anodized for a superior long lasting finish.

-Ideal for ultimate street performance.
-6k thru 13k spring rates available at NO CHARGE (higher spring rates available at additional charge)
-1 year manufacturer warranty and fully rebuildable
Megans, D2, These, are all the same type of coilover, they give you the spring on the shock then you adjust your dampening to dampen the spring from bouncing…
These are very popular down in California right now and on Honda-Tech. The dampers are valved specifically for each application. For an example the base for the S13 is set at 7K Front and 6K rear, it is recommended to stay +/- 2K before the shocks need to be revalved so anything for the front above 9K would need to be custom valved essentially. Many companies will charge extra for the 2K difference in spring rates when all they are doing is throwing in different spring rates and not changing the valving which you would think is what the extra charge is for.
I’d like to see the damper seperately, ie. with no hardware attached.
these appear to be identical to the K-sport / D2’s right down to the spanners and the adjuster.
also, because the adjuster is the sole method for adjusting compression and rebound the comp / reb are not seperately adjustable, also exactly the same as the D2’s and K-sports… also 6061 aluminum bodies.
camber plates and adjuster (allan key style) are also identical to D2 / K-sport
the only detectable difference is the finish
is there a temperature rating? ie. no recommended for use in sub -5 degree celsius weather?
They do appear to be similar because there is only so many ways to make a coilover system. 90% of the coilover systems on the market look the same these days. I never stated these were adjustable seperately for compression and rebound. I will get you a temperature rating if you are interested in that.
I did not state that they were valve matched for 6-13K spring rates. If you read my second last post I gave an example of what is offered. What the statement “6k thru 13k spring rates available at NO CHARGE” means is that all of those spring rates are in stock and are available free of charge. But to put a 13K spring rate on a set that is valved for 7K would be just plain stupid which is why we recommend staying within a 2K+/- range of the base spring rates and anything above or below that we can revalve them to suit your needs.
I am looking for a person to test these out locally on a Nissan application, I will be offering a deep discount on the first set ordered on son240sx. Contact me for pricing and details.
