the thing I’m impressed with is that pontiac didn’t make it look horrible… just change up the front bumper and it might even look classy.
my predictions are that will cost $45K but you’ll be able to haggle into the mid 30s and I also predict it will be faster than the new V8 camaro by a little (stock vs. stock).
Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but we expect the GXP to come in right around $35k.
No, wait, let me make that a little more clear…

That’s right folks. 400/400 HP/TQ, a 6 speed, 4.7 to 60 and a 13 flat 1/4 mile, with comfortable room for 5, a big trunk and European ride/handling for 35k. I can guarantee zee germans are watching this car.
Can I just say that these cars are BADASS!!! They had a ride and drive and the salespeople who went said they absolutley scream. of course I didn’t go to the training but the dealership was busy and I wasn’t able to go… friggin pissed me off when people who don’t care at all got to drive them and I didn’t. Sometimes being an owner screws you out of cool stuff, but most of the time it pays off.
Awesome car and I wish the Holden brand was just brought into the US as is.
Im sick of seeing Pontiacs shitty signature styling. To me the Pontiac brand has a wretched stigma of “cheap”… and everything up until this point has been just that. Puking Pontiac styling on the Holden just takes away from a great car. If GM was smart they would introduce a new brand… new name, clean slate. Do it right from day one… instead of dragging shit reputations on through the years.
2 came into Rochester, a dealer called him and why not be the one of the first in the US to snap one up.
best part is dealers are not totally fucking the dog like they did the GTO and asking way over the already HIGH sticker. G8 GT with options 31k. I was really impressed with the car, very nice outside and in. With the Aussies reporting a almost 40hp gain with a re tune this thing should be tons of fun.
just got one of these at the dealership today, fawking hot! although, the plastic cover on the engine is kind of cheesy and the tailights are lacking. they should have made them come down longer, the bumper comes up to meet it and it looks terrible.
