:afro:
I used to work security for the mall years ago. first, most of them are 16-20 year old kids that have nothing to do. Many do not go to school, almost none have jobs, and a good number are members of wanna-be gangs.
they have issues on the streets and do the really nasty shit there, but when they come to the mall (because its free to get in, warm and just something to do) they see each other and feel like not fighting over signs of disrespect is a showing of weakness.
Security is not allowed to be armed there. No pocketknives, no baton, no big flashlights, no mace, and I think no handcuff nowadays. Certainly no guns. (They pay min wage for mall security there, the type of people they hire now you don’t want armed. Also, when I worked there I worked for Pyramid Management, the people who own the mall. Security is now hired through contract companies. No weapons due to the liablilty, security is almost entirely hands-off now.
when we worked there and a fight broke out we broke that shit up and cuffed the little bastards. We also knew where they would usually run and knew how to pop out back hallways and take them out.
Someone should tell people that Buffalo is having a revival and the main place mall is still open.
was this recent?
Yesterday I believe
Would you expect any less from him?
On topic, the not so subtle racism in this thread is pretty funny…but, I mean, you know…the video kind of speaks for itself?
I don’t even know if it’s really racism really. The majority of people that get bussed in are just a product of their environment, doesn’t matter really if they are black, white or hispanic. The neighborhoods a lot of these type of people come from are filled with generations of people with no ethics and no integrity. You can put any color person there from birth and they odds are stacked against them. Then cart them in by the bus full to one place… not good.
I liked going to Jack Assholes, but they don’t have the peanuts anymore. Takes one person with a nut allergy to fuck up a good thing.
We had a fight outside of work with kids from the attached high school. Keep in mind I work on the west side. One mother decided she would DRIVE her daughter to the fight and even participate. Eventually about 13 cop cars showed up and made several arrests. This mentality, predominantly in the black community is why racism exists. No parent should ever say “Oh there’s a fight at school? Let me drive you over there and we’ll fight them”. People who fight over “gang signs” or just some trash talk are lesser people…regardless of race.
Like the good ol’ days.
Well said.
NVM!
This isn’t a race issue, it’s a culture issue.
The fact that this is being video taped and people are going “WORLD STAR HIP HOP” is sad.
When you take a culture (regardless of race) that has no idea how to solve problems without violence, AND give them a stage…you get this.
i just tried to rep this post and it says i cant.
but just know you did well
I wonder what the racial breakdown looks like of this “culture” you mention?
It’s pretty sad when as a country we’ve become so PC that we can’t have honest conversations about problems without having to hide everything behind PC bullshit.
I am trying to think if I would do anything to break it up if I were there. Getting involved opens you up to a lawsuit I suppose, or getting hurt yourself. A quick blast of OC would break that crowd up quickly though…
This isn’t anything new at the Galleria. Sadly, nothing will change until it really affects someone it shouldn’t. My gf’s father was a CPD officer for a long time. He tells me all the time that he’s glad he’s out of it now. Said it always was bad and doesn’t see it getting any better.
All the people in here screaming “racism” are part of the problem with the direction this country has been going in. Get your head out of your ass. You all know what you saw in the video. It was a bunch of black people fighting. Wow I made an observation, everyone go out and call me racist now… :cjerk:
