I have asked a friend of mine who is in the car business (worked for Nissan for a number of years, drove one of the first pre-production 240’s in 1989, and now does used car import/export) to look into buying me a '92-'93 S13 from Florida (which of course have flawless, rust-free body/frames). After hearing of the popularity of the cars, he is interested in bringing a bunch of them back (and doing all the necessary import paperwork etc), and I was hoping to get some feedback about what these cars would be worth to the average 240 enthusiast.
So if you have a minute, post what you would pay for a rust-free, avg mileage (ie 100-200km) excellent condition 92-93 coupe/hatch/convertible. Please try to be specific, ie what year, options, etc. If you are really interested in buying one, PM me and I’ll get a list going. He will be going to Florida in the next few weeks, and I would imagine he could have the cars here for July/August.
Keep in mind this is just tentative for now, but if there is enough interest, and it is worthwhile to do all this work, we will definitely get something going.
wow so if a bone stock florida car is worth $4000 i wonder what my souped florida car is worth? $10000 sounds about right if i work out all the kinks.
just so you guys know, a good condition FLA car would be showroom rust free. mine is flawless and its even been in canada for a few years. worth the money for sure.
well either way i’d like to see the deals you could get.
1993 black/blue/white (has to be original color)

hatchback
I’ve already researched it & I could get a rust free 240 over here for 2000 firm including custom, importing, registar fee’s.
i went to florida last summer and all the 240’s werent as clean as you make them out to be, i saw some pretty brutal ones down there as well, obvioulsy there are going to be a higher nubmer of good ones but form how you guys are saying it it sounds like its harder to find a shit one than a solid one
We will likely only bring in “legal” 240’s, as outlined in the RIV document posted above. So as far as I know, the eligible cars are hatches and coupes from '89 and '92-'93, and '93-'94 convertibles.
