OK so here is the deal…

I got setup with a new wholesaler in the US recently and I need to break the buy-in of USD$1200.

Anyone that needs any sort of credibility check can see do a search in the group buy section I’ve done several successful group buys here in the past most recently two very successful tire/wheel group buys with another to come in a few weeks time.

I would love to break the buy in for this new supplier so that I can start bringing up a wider variety of parts.

Quoting prices in this group buy are going to be a little bit more complicated than usual for me, mainly because I’ve never brought parts up from this supplier before so I’m not able to make a very good guesstimate at what shipping costs will be.

So, I’m going to present pricing to you in a slightly different manner than usual.

Basically the way this will work is that I can get you a part for a certain price, whatever it may be. Think of this as just buying a part at $X value off of an online distributor or ebay and that there will be some expected shipping costs and border costs associated with this purchase.

HOWEVER, the nice part about this is that since we will be bringing back several products the shipping costs will be cut down and since I will be driving across the border to pick up the parts myself there are no brokerage fees involved and that saves a lot of money in the end. Overall it will be much much cheaper than a regular online purchase but the reason I say it this way is so that you guys understand that you will cover the shipping. There will be zero markup by me or by the supplier on shipping or duties and neither I nor the supplier charge any sort of handling fee. What I’m trying to say is that the shipping prices will be very fair but impossible to know a head of time, it’s up to you to understand and take responsibility for them.

The shipping for all products will be combined and therefor I will take on the responsibility of reasonably and fairly splitting the shipping costs across the products. If one person gets a blitz turbo timer and one person some Cusco coiloves, obviously whoever purchased the coilovers will be paying more.

Next difference with this group buy - and I hate to do it this way but I have a good reason and I’m not going to go in to detail as to why but you all are just going to have to accept it.

I will not be doing several quotes for buyers who will likely not be purchasing like I do in the tire group buys and other group buys… Those are easy to quote. However, I do not have a physical price catalogue like I do for the tires and I cannot easily look up pricing. There is a process that involves sending and receiving a fax every time I want a quote.

What this all means is that unless you are absolutely 100% serious about buying a product, don’t ask for a quote and I’m dead serious when I say this. I just don’t have the time to be entertaining everyone doing quotes over and over.

I’m not sure how to enforce this so I’m going to just ask this of you guys and if it becomes a problem I simply won’t do the group buy.

I would prefer that for this time around that unless we reach the $1200 (cost) marker that no small items be purchased (like sub $10).

Now, here is a list of what is available. Any manufacturers that I list means that just about anything they currently manufacture (for 240sx/silvia) is available unless it is discontinued or backordered.

Optionally if you are looking for something in particular “15mm wheel spacers” or “3in stainless downpipe” I can try to find something for you.

I’ll see what I can do for you G. Takes a few days to get quotes (at least) so I’ll let you know when I hear back. I’ve put together a pretty big list of parts to get quoted already (getting quite a few PM’s regarding this group buy)

I have another request to make as far as asking for quotes, though.

As you should all know if you read my first post - This group buy is intended to break the buy-in and I cannot entertain random quotes just to satisfy curiosity. So I have one further request… please, before you ask me for a quote on a part do a few quick searches online to see what the general price is for these parts and then decide how much you would be willing to spend.

For example, if you want a FMIC kit from blitz (MSRP $1020)

So ideally you would send me a few links so I know exactly what you want and give me a price you are willing to pay if I can go that low ie: “Hello Jammin, here are some links I found of the LM Series Intercooler kit from blitz, if you can do it for $850 I’m in!”

oh sorry, to answer your other question, there is no ETA on the end of this group buy as of now, but i would estimate another week or at absolute most 2 weeks.

Thanks Ramesh, we have surpassed the $1200 buy-in now and this group buy is once again a GO. If anyone wants in better let me know soon. I’ve been doing a lot of quotes via PM but nobody is sending deposits.
