GB: Version SELECT Genuine japanese Bodykits

Chill out homies. I don’t what the problem is and i don’t care.

dude wtf ?? shut up and think about what youre paying 200 bucks for…lights !!
you think it costs them 150 or 100 to make them?? yeah ok !!
sounds VERY expensive for what it actually is.[/quote]

Glass tail lights are expensive… The market dictates price, not the cost of building the product…

Blame yourself the consumer, for the market balance on the worth of the taillights…

rotorkami makes a perfectly logical point…

no I think it costs @ $25 to make a set… which is close if not high , however what THEY make them for has NEVER been what auto makers sold them for … 75% if not more of all profit automakers realize is from parts, the cars are relativly short on profit, parts are where the money is made… it’s like this is a new concept to you? not to mention that the car these lights belong to were never made for northamerica and that pricing in Japan IS allot higher then here … then $150 is frikin cheap!! what do you pay for used kouki S13 tail lights ??

so bottom line these are special order by V ; S they don’t HAVE to order them but they will, you want to complain about a company going out of it’s way to try and accomdate your needs then you’ve got issues, you want to make a complaint, contact Nissan Japan and complain… I’m sure they will get right on it and lower the price for you…

ok ladies, so back to the GB…

what exchange rate will the pricing go by? our dollar is at like .84 right now, so will it be that rate or some made up .75 BS rate?

im 90% sure i’ll be placing an order on a four piece kit.

Not to mention the fact that automakers make much of the profit from the larger vehicles such as SUV’s and Trucks. In the case of GM they really only sell cars to pull money away from the competition rather then to make profit. They would rather loose 1g per car, then have the consumer put money in the hands of the competitors.

… ? everything has been priced in USD … so far

i mean when the time comes to pay, will we be paying $.84 on the 750 or what?

that question makes no sense… when you pay is up to you to decide… if you pay in US finds then the price is static… if you pay in Canadian thenit floats based on $$ values at the time… so when you pay what will decide the conversion rate… but you can’t expect the GB starter to cover your ass if you decide to pay at 83 and the dollar drops to 75… that’s your choice. the buy is set to finish by march, if the US dollar and budget defict is any indecation then don’t expect the doaller to change too much

if you could get everyone that wanted a kit to buy them right now then we could send in the payment at the 84 mark… but it’s all about who’s timing with GB’s…

being rude isnt going to help you get more people to buy into this.

what i asked, was if we would be paying the real exchange or if there was a set exchange rate. Some people/places just have a set rate, its not legal but life isnt always fair. I’ve decyphered from your rant, that yes, we will be paying by the real US/CAD rate at time of payment.

so we’re lookin at around $1200 for a kit??

Spilner if you didn’t ask stupid questions you wouldn’t get frank remarks…

rant ?? a dick?

it took you three attempts to actually say what you were trying to say…

haha

 ok everyone, back to the main thrust here; the pursuit of getting a better price on parts…

Go to www.xe.com… look up the exchange rate… thats what you will pay
when you pay. Don’t forget to add the % they charge on the exchange.

Listen rotorkami wa I didn’t ask for your opinion. I am not guessing here…its called experience.

First off I work in a performance shop. I’ve seen more of these body kits ordered than you have seen on cars and yes i’m talking about the Japanese stuff. You pay for quality plain and simple. All the kits I’ve seen come in for customers at low costs have had to pay up the ass for fitment especially when it came to weakly constructed and poor fitting wide fenders which is exactly what I am mainly interested in.

Here’s an idea. Shut the ^%$% up and let Dip answer the question seeing as it was directed to him in the first place.

Again I ask and this time more specifically.
I am interested in an S14 Kit with wide fenders. What is the quality and fitment like? What is the exact material used? If you can get me more info I am deffinately interested.

Thank you

lol… dip it’s ALL yours…

settle down guys

Excellent question Caker;
Materials:
hand-laid 2K S-glass Twill weave 3 layer Isothermic polyester with a BASF gell coat, for an extra hundred on each pair of fenders a carbonfiber epoxy reinforcment layer can be added on all mounting points and flat surfaces.

Fitment:
As someone in the industry you should know that its not how a handlaid product is made, its how its shipped, handled and stored that dictates the fitment.
overheating in, pulling it and whatnot is what makes the poor fitment.
This is different than the standard chopglass where thickness imperfections and variations in mix will naturally warp or deform a product inside a mould.
These are made in the best possible way in using a handlay, FG with glass and polyester resin.

Installing the kit is straight forward. YOU WILL HAVE TO DRILL THE HOLES YOURSELF. This is done because not all frames are identical. If you do it your self you can insure that the panels will fit to your car perfectly.

As stated before there is no profit comming from the sale of these kits.
This is simply allowing the Canadian resaler a say in what is brought into NA. He would like to bring in a lot of other stuff but needs to be a bigger player first.

here is actual pricing on the product:

so whats the deal on this GB? is it happening?

How much for version 2 side skirts for S13 ???

people need to pony up with cash … i’ve seen both of youpost over on the other GB body kit topic… and you said you wanted to pick up those as well… the price you see o the first page is pretty self explanitory… people need to commit then pricing can be sorted out if it’s the primary or secondary rebate offer… but bouncing between topics saying you like this and that and you want to buy is really just serving to confuse the issue , not sort it out.
