I’m getting summer tires, and i’m looking to go 245/50/17 because it’s as wide as i can get up front, and I don’t want to mess around with different front and rear tire sizes. on tirerack.com the General Exclaim UHP’s have the highest rating of any tire in that size (8.3 http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=General&tireModel=Exclaim+UHP&partnum=45WR7EUHP&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes ) so has anyone here tried them? I’m just looking for something sticky to reduce wheel spin off the line.
They are a great street tire and perform awesome in the rain. Not sure how they are at the track though…
He’s got a 15 second car. I think they’ll be fine.
General’s are decent cheap tires.
Along the same lines I had a set of Khumo Ecsta SPT’s on my Jetta that were great for the price…
yeah, it’s not like i need slicks or anything lol, but with my current tires if i don’t gradually ease on the gas i do spin my tires at the track. Which is why my 60’ times SUCK
I got them for my speed3 last summer. They are great tires for sure.
They were just about as sticky as my stock potenzas, though I could tell there was a little more sidewall flex. What I really like is the fact that my current set will last me through this summer as well, pending any track days I may get to. The potenzas didnt last 1 summer.
had them on my s4. no complaints here…
ran them on my m3… i liked them, especially in the rain
