Looking for some good street tires

Well, I’m looking to get some good street tires sometime in the future…

I want something thats not to expensive and wont be to bad in the rain, but will be good and hold in the turns.

Tire size is 215/60/15

Looking for some input/ experiance with diff tires

Yokohama Avid Tourings are good street tires. Ive got them on my daily driver and my dad has them on his car.

Yeah I was looking at the Yokohamas… they seem to get a decent review, and the price isnt to bad at all

I was look at the Yokohama AVS ES100’s

around 90 bucks a tire

General’s…dunno the model name RFP’s or something? ask 30r_logik, that’s what he runs

UHP’s, great tire from what I’ve read

yeahhh those are it, i’m about to buy a set of those for my civic. :nod

well this site I was looking at dident have the UHP’s but they had these, they look like decent tires and pretty damn cheap… dunno if thats good or bad… but they seem to have good treadlife and wet/dry traction.

yea, i really like the tire alot, it hooks really well, isn’t very loud on the highway, just a tad on the soft side (great traction) and wear down a tad bit quicker. UHP’s is what they are called.

Well, whenever I can I like to take my car around the backraods pretty hard, mainly for fun, I’d like to AutoX it but its just to big of a car to bring on the AutoX track.

I also want something thats not goign to wear down in a month from my driving… so I think Im goign to go with the ones I posted above, i’ve looked a few places and they have almost solid ratings all the way around. They don’t look all that dissimaler from the UHP’s althou I would imagine they are a harder compound

its up to you brother, i’m traction limited so its fine with me if they wear down a bit faster.

Ill give them a shot… for the price, if they suck well, not to much money wasted… if theyre good, money well spent

General Exclaim UHP is a great tire. I had them on my 88 Z24 and will be buying a set for my Cobalt SS S/C shortly. And you can’t beat the price of them either. :nod

Kumho Ecsta are not bad at all

Kumho’s get bubbles in them too easily.

do a lot softer compound tires do that?
