well since the mouldings were off and looked kinda bad figured i would strip them down to the metal and paint them myself.
Does that $1500 include the paint and materials? If it does I would worry about the quality. I am in the process of painting my car myself and have $1200 in paint, clear, primer and supplies. First I would make sure he is using a 2 component primer, not shitty lacquer primer or you will have chipping or adhesion problems in the future.
