GFTD Thread. Vote for us in Artvoice contest.

We are called Good Night From The Desert. I play guitar and co-wrote the music with our other guitarist. It’s melodic indie hardcore, the singer really likes doing keyboard shit in between songs, I prefer jamming but he likes making up these samples so we stuck some in between songs. Enjoy.

So we are in an Artvoice contest, if you like us, vote for us. Thanks.

Hey do you have any other way to listen to this? I can’t listen to it on my iPod. Nate was telling me about it and I want to check it out.

Kinda reminds me of Maylene and the Sons of Disaster. I like it

:word:

nice stuff

We are pressing some CD’s, probably be done in a couple weeks, we also have a really cool shirt design that khrista made, let’s just say it involes a girl and a trash can.

Thanks for the kind words so far too.

i’m gonna have to rep your band so i can rock that tshirt

edit: sounds real good jeremy! ps. was that khrista at gaslight with you? i didn’t even recognize her!

Nice man, sound good.

actually sounds pretty good…you sound so much like another band but i cant think of the name

kind of reminds me of bane

HAHA, no it was my roommate kacy. Khrista was working, but she does look a lot different than she did a few years ago. Murder by Death was sooo good at that show.

I definitely wasn’t expecting that.

Polar Bear Club/Murder City Devils because of the vocals is what we have been getting, and what I was expecting. But the music is fairly diverse, more so than Bane, and while some of the guitar harmonies are cheesy I plan on righting plenty more. We will be going away from the minor/cheesier heavy parts, we want heavy, melodic, indie consonance without sounding too poppy. And definitely no crab core, haha.

Thanks for the kind words. We are playing a show at our jam space Friday October 30th, should be a fun party right on main street directly next to studio arena. And a house party on Halloween. Come in costume and party!!!

This is my old band, you guys might like it. Where We Hide.

The singer from wwh, who is a really good friend of mine started this band. Rust Belt Lights.

<33333333 Rust Belt Lights. Great band. Great dudes. Everyone should get into them too!

Playin a show tomorrow at merlins at 11pm.

with who?

Purgatory Kings, they are a sweet hip hop group. The other band I am to lazy to look up the name, I think they are kinda jam bandish though.

bump

Bump because we will probably be recording like 5 more songs in the spring.

Possibly doing it in Philly.

kinda sucks, pic a new job

I like the music but am not into the “screaming” lyrics.

I did, haha.

Thanks.

There is actually a lot of mellow music in there. The next recording will be more melodic vocally.

Writing plenty of new odd time stuff as well. Trying to be creative and fun more than catchy. We aren’t looking to be on MTV, more or less write unique songs with as little repetition as possible.
