Originally posted by 8Grand lizabeth - St. Michael’s Church - In the early 1980’s the diocese of Pittsburgh ordered the church padlocked at 3:00 AM without any warning to the parishioners. The only explanation the diocese would give is that the floor of the 125 year old church was too weak and in danger of collapse. Since that time strange changes to the church have taken place. While the rest of the colored panes of glass in the windows have retained their color the faces of the saints have turned black. Inside the church the walls have peeled and cracked, the pews are filthy with bird droppings and dead birds, yet the area around the altar and the altar itself, which is draped a 100 year old altar cloth from Ireland, is in pristine condition. As if it were ready for Sunday mass. There is a statue of Saint Michael the Archangel above the main entrance to the church posed with lance and shield. Over the years the statue’s shield looks as if it is battle worn and covered with dried blood
WTF, i know that the old priests used to go into that church and light the candles that were off to the side of the alter, the super super slow burning ones… You can ONLY see the alter of the church and I remember when I went to grade school at the school that the alter was ALWAYS neat and clean, and to this DAY they have yet to tear that church down… supposedly its been condemded due to the rotting floor…
WTF(im just letting this huge ass page load now) they dont even have the supposed hotel in Brownsville or that Mansion or what ever it is thats haunted… its been on some ghost story thing on Discovery… before…
and they list 13 bends 2x’s on the list lol… thats right in my area.
Butler County - Moraine State Park - Burton Road -“Snyder Cemetery” Red eyes will chase you out. Also, something else could chase you out. It is Conrad Snyder who is haunting his family’s resting place.
been there way before i had read anything about it… i saw this page a few months ago and realized i had been there, i found it on accident while driving through random dirt roads in moraine state park
this is conrad’s and his wife’s grave… coinsidentally the only grave stone i took a picture of by itself while i was there. i took the pic originally because the dates on it include 1736 and 1726 if i remember correctly, it was an entire family plot, i’ll post a few more pics of it shortly

I remember some kids on here saying they played Airsoft at Warren Mine lol.
Im suprised nobody brought up Dixmont. Ive been up there countless times over the past couple of years and have witnessed some scary things…
It was about a year ago when I went four wheeling with two of my buddies when we decided to stop and make a fire (we all had permission to be there) and well they decided to chill for a bit and me not believing in ghosts at the time decided to go walk around the buildings. Well it was ten o’ clock at night so it was pitch black and a clear night. Well as I was walking down the road that goes between the two main buildings I had the sudden urge to stop. I began to get this chill as I stood amidst the silence and looming buildings. All of the sudden the sky started to flash, much like heat lightning. As I watched, the flashes became more intense, lighting up the whole sky. Well all of the sudden I see an orb of light come floating over from the right building. It was as bright as a trains lights. I froze in terror. It just sat there floating. I didnt know what to do so I turned and ran as fast as I could till I got back to my buddys. I told them what happened and they couldnt believe it. When I mentioned the heat lighting they said they didnt see any at all!!! :eek3:
Last summer I was down there with a few people walking through the buildings when we came across “Ghost Hunters”. They were seriously looking for ghosts. Well they invited a few of us to go looking around with them. Well we got into the morgue and went downstairs into the basement. The two guys had been holding these pieces of metal that would supposedly cross when they came across a ghost. Well they invited me to hold these things while they started calling out the name of a certain doctor. Well after they did this for a few minutes I began to shrug them off as looneys. Then all of the sudden from a dead end part of the hall came a loud moan and a booming crash. Right as this happened, the bars crossed in my hands causing me to drop them. The two ghosthunters raced down toward where the noise came from and me and the other two with me had no choice but to follow cuz they had the flashlights. Well we got to the end of the hall and found an old metal cabinet pushed over and broken.
There are other storys from various friends of mine, all telling of other crazy occurrences, doors closing on their own, moans, and strange lights. Its a scary place. Can’t wait for the Walmart to go in there. “Theres a haunting on Aisle 7!”

i’m not a believer until i see it myself… i’ve never seen a ghost. good stories though.
Originally posted by Darkstar i hate to break it to you guys, but theres no such thing as ghosts. true story.
agreed, i’m skeptical as hell… i just posted it coz it was on that page someone posted
the only reason i originally had them pix was coz i found those foundations and grave stones in the middle of the woods with nothing anywhere near them
and even though i’m skeptical i do enjoy a good story or going some places where these stories come from
