Im not sure that would happen. There is already a decent diversity, but in the end it comes down to cost and drivability (driftwise). Those cars just don’t fit the mold, and would take even more money to develop and compete. It’s just not fiscally feasible, nless the factory steps in with the funding it will never happen. Drift is still new enough in the USA that drivers who are making it big now are bringing their own cars. The potential for damage in and of itself doesn’t lend well to those types of cars that you mentioned competing. Ford is already backing the Mustang, and GM is already backing the GTO, and Dodge is backing the Viper. Drifting is geared to a select audience and I doubt the factories will want to serve up their marquis model brands to get waxed by your average 240. That would kill sales.
