Anyone know the mechanical and performance differences between the GM LQ4-U 6.0 liter and the LQ9-N 6.0 liter motors?
im sure brian does
compression is higher on the lq9
LQ9 has flat top pistons which makes for 10.1 CR also has stronger internals
LQ4 has a dished piston which allows for 9.4 or 9.5 CR depending on the type of heads [iron/alum]
stock for stock LQ9 better NA motor but ppl do boost them
LQ4 is good building block for a boosted application with its lower CR
