Gm's new car > Cobra Jet

The tech’s at GM performance have been working on a dedicated drag camaro that will be mass produced just like the Ford Cobra jet, only the camaro has ran as fast as 9.69 @ 140 right off the trailer.

if they get enough interest in the car it will be produced.

Not a gm made vehicle. A customs shop built it in FL.

It’s a g.m vehicle seeing as they warr it . See copo made it and motion is under a tarp again .

wrong.

The techs at GM performance division made it and are trying to get enough interest in it to have it mass produced like the cobra jet.

Not wrong. A shop built it in Florida, it didnt roll out of GM.

A shop in Florida did build it , its gm,s new performance shop of sorts . Basically gmpp is gone they liked what other like redline and denoyer were doing so they did this as a production car to challenge the track lsx art models and cords editions.

Nice, been waiting to see when they were gonna have something for the stock/super stockers.

its a “concept car” at the moment that GM tech’s decided to make. Their is a vote on producing the car out from a GM plant. If the vote goes in favor of the car, it gets mass produced.

“Remember, at this point the COPO is still just a concept – to make it a reality, you’ll need to help out by going to GMPerformanceParts.com and getting on the COPO Camaro mailing list to show you’re interested…”

it better have a cage in it if its going 9’s off the factory floor. This should be the base model camaro.

it will. Its pretty much GM’s version of the cobra jet.

Another man at the party.

does it have a powerglide in it?

Not bad for a v10 , gmpp is doing that on a rumored 5.3 or 6.2 …

Hondas do it with a 4 cylinder…

GM’s also doing it with a big blower.

So do 4 cyls lol

so is Ford.

Anyone know the details on the shop HT’s joined with in FL?

I’m getting a little more info on that situation . Seams he is working there not partners

Nick the 9.69 @ 140 car above was with a N/A 427. They are swapping in a 6.2 L with a 2.9L blower to see if it performs better.
