Well my exhaust finally came in and when I first saw it, I nearly creamed my pants. Then after the initial excitment wore off, I actually got scared to install this monster as I thought it was going to be to loud. Then there was the size of this cat back system, I had never seen anything like it and Phil has affectionately called it the “Anaconda” and for good reason.
It’s an HKS Drager cat back with 3.5 inch mandrel piping, straight through muffler with a 5 inch tip  . So I had it installed today and actually I was plesently surprised that it was not obnoxiously loud and in fact, it’s got a deep, low and smooth tone all the way through the rpm band. I could’nt be happier
.
Currently I am using an MBC set to around 9 - 10psi but after the exhaust was installed, yeah I’m hitting approx 14psi now. The good thing is the controller is designed to bleed of a psi ish to help prevent boost creep and huge spikes so boost does level off (and hold) around 10-11psi so it’s all good.
Now for some pic’s,
I absolutely LOVE the engraved lettering.
A shot of the canister.
Now to actually show the size of the tip, I put my BIC lighter (the large one which we’ve all seen) inside the muffler. Yeah…it’s BIG!
This pic lets you see why Phil calls it the Anaconda exhaust, the piping is HUGE.
A better shot to show the real size of the canister.
So that’s it and I want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Phil for finding this, it’s going to be the only exhaust system I need. All I need to do now is upgrade the manifold, turbo elbow and downpipe and the system will be complete. Anyway, I just wanted to share with you guys.
Take care.
