Goalie Sites...

i got the same premier you have mike, i like it a lot better than my sherwood (vaughn 9950 clone). brown is really nice, I didn’t have luck with 2 older units I tried, I’d def try a newer one in the future but I don’t see myself spending money on goal gear besides a new set of pads.

I’ve never worn vaughns, but I love my vaughn gloves.

and I’ve seen many pair of smiths in person, they all look like they were well constructed, wear well, close up well, etc. I’d drop a grand for a custom set, figure I could get 550 for my rbk’s so it’s only 450.

I’ve never worn Smith’s so I can’t make a direct comparison. However, my V2’s lasted me 3 years of college and are still in good shape. My teammate’s Smith pads were shot after 1 season. Sure it’s 1 pair, but I just thought they didn’t even compare to my Vaughn’s. On every goalie I’ve seen wear them, they have looked good, and closed up well. I’ve never been a fan of flat face pads, so I never liked those particular Smith models. I just like having the knee roll there. My teammate’s Smith’s did have knee rolls in them like my V2’s.

yeah if I get smith’s I’d get the new 6000s

if I were to get a pad with knee rolls i’d probably get v3’s or bauer x60s

ok… so i went to denver and picked up the stuff… turns out it wasnt vaughn, it was itech, and itech 4.8 at that matter… i was a lil pissed, but oh well… i got blocker glove pants pads and upper plus a brand new rbk goalie bag for 250… i couldnt pass that up… im not playing at the level i used to anymore, so no need to spend what i used to… at least till i get back on the ice after 11 months…

SO… with that… check these skates for me

my skates were an old set of ccm’s and they worked fine for me for many many years. im so out of touch in buying new skates, what do you think ?

the price isnt bad, but im not sure on vapors.

i heard those cowlings are prone to cracking, but it’s only 119 so you might as well give em a shot

True, cowlings on those are WEAK. I’ve always gone CCM, just loved my first pair of tacks and haven’t switched from the CCM label.
